On Freeport 11 I couldn'€™t help but here about this new summit. I'€™m just a Freelancer but I would like to attend the conference. I don'€™t represent Rheinland, my house home, just myself. At the very, least I'€™d like to listen in on the talks and allow a small voice if allowed.

I'€™ve flown to Gran Canaria in hopes to hear what these factions have to say. After all, they do indirectly and sometimes, directly affect how a life of a Freelancer goes. I promise I will not cause disruption during the meetings.

I would also like to voice my stance in agreement with Premier Katz-san.
While I have no concern about an open gallery for those that wish to observe the proceedings, the representatives allowed to actually discuss matters of importance should be kept to those actually representing populations of note within Sirius.
If anyone wishes to have concerns of small groups and families discussed, they can surely bring their concerns to a representative most agreeable to them.
This has nothing to do with fear of said small groups, merely not wishing to waste time on matters that do not have any great affect on a large number of people and allow us to discuss important matters.

Freelancers are arguably the backbone of Sirius. We are the unsung entrepreneurs for new discoveries, ventures into the unknown, for better and for worse. We remain free agents yet are bound by laws and regulations we either choose to accept or reject, reap the rewards or pay the price for our choices.

And if I may be so bold to point out. Some may see this gathering as a members only club as this is a gathering of factions, who have outright rejected Orbital Spa and Cruse'€™s policy, have already closed the doors on anyone who accepts OSC'€™s stance as well.

My point here is not to argue for factions or policy. I am, however, aware that the proceedings here affect how I and other Freelancers conduct our daily lives and therefore I respectfully ask, if nothing else, to be allowed to addend the proceedings to listen in. I will not interrupt the proceedings, merely be allowed to addend them.

Allow me to introduce myself. I am Walter Stryker, recently appointed CEO of White Spa Lines, a subsidiary of Orbital Spa and Cruise proper. I have been monitoring the situation for some time and I would simply like to offer my most profound apologies for the behavior displayed by the Orbital Spa and Cruise management concerning this entire summit. It is my sincerest hope that the actions of Ms. Allen will not permanently damage the good relations OSC has held with most all of you in the past.

I do not ask that Orbital Spa and Cruise be allowed a representative in these discussions. That would be far too great a request, considering all that has happened. However, I would be greatly appreciative if a transcript of the proceedings was forwarded to me at some point in time.

Dear Delegates

I want to address a few points.
Firstly Freelancers: I am perfectly happy for Freelancers to attend, but having a voice is a different matter. Namely because Freelancers are not a homogeneous entity in any way, they are naturally all individual. Some work for anyone, some are more discerning. I am not sure you have a unified interest, or even if you did how such and interest could be manifested and represented.

Secondly, Orbital Spa and cruise: I would be happy, for you to attend. I realise of course, that Miss Allen was just one member of such a large organisation. We should not hold her lack of Diplomacy against your company as a whole. I of course also understand that you have concerns of your own to be addressed, as the wars between the houses have left your operations lacking in adequate security.

So ladies and Gentlemen when should we begin?

We either have a communications break-down or you'€™re using some kind of broken communications filter that only allows you to hear one part of my communication while ignoring the other part. On the other hand, your communication has the tact and the guile of someone who has already chosen sides. If this summit is to promote objective communication between factions, I hope you can please prove me wrong.

I feel the delay in response was prompted by several days of back door talks. Understandable. This is a large endeavor and there is no quick answer to this issue.

I did, however, clearly stated I wished to attend, not interrupt. Again, I asked to be allowed to addend the proceedings to listen in. I will not interrupt the proceedings, merely be allowed to addend them. You even said that you are perfectly happy for Freelancers to attend yet single me out.

I don'€™t even know you. All, established factions have bad blood between another and have either accepted or rejected their interaction on their own accord. Yet'€¦this'€¦brave new meeting, I thought, was to provide the objectivity the Orbital summit seemed to lack regardless of mistrust.

Freelancers are not a homogonous group? Represent my interest? If I clearly stated I merely wish to attend so by what premise do you conclude I wish to represent any of my interest at the summit? If these factions attending this summit fear a fly on a wall, then I cannot help but suspect that this summit meeting is less than objective, serving only to feed interests of distrust and misinformation.

If I didn'€™t know any better I would say this is an expression of your most sincere gratitude while giving me the middle finger.

This may come as a complete surprise to you, but Freelancers, don'€™t want to be, represented. We do, however, want to be remembered.

I stand behind what I say and yet if allowed to attend, I will say, nothing. If there is fear to me simply being at the summit, I must wonder, why?
