I'm currently trying to create a transmission bar, but I'd like feedback, tips and whatever you can bring (as long as it's constructive) to me.

The details concerning the ship's captain and rank are probably going in the lower part of the 'closing' transmission bar.

1. The crown in the back and the wings should drop equal shadow, try making it straight down.
2. The [Convoy], should be put in a rectangular box of some sort, I think it would look better. You can connect it with the pins to the shield and the wings.
3. I can't even read the bottom lettering. Make it a bit brighter, perhaps different gradient and a stroke, shadow.
4. Give the inside glow to the shield's image insert, it would add volume to it.
5. The BG's flag looks kind of slapped on there, perhaps you can make it smaller and put it symmetrically on both sides of the shield?
6. Give the guy's image a little sharpening, make it a big crispier, just a tad, perhaps 30% or so.
