Patrol report, October 27th, 14:13 standard New London time, Cambridge planet.
Patrol route: Essex: Hood: Dublin Mining Fields: New London: Cambridge: Freeport 1: Cardiff: Essex
Patrol started out unusually quiet. Dublin was calm, aside from a few rowdy folk near Hood, taking a few turns on the racetrack. No notable mining operations were ongoing. Graves reported clear scanners as well. However, on passing from Dublin to New London, I could scarcely believe my eyes on the sight that greeted me. An Outcast capital ship moored with the planet! I was about to engage, thinking our capitol under siege, when cmdr. Clay ordered me to stand down. I was dumbfounded, and did not question the order given. But now, a few hours later, as this situation is sinking in... I am forced to question wether cmdr Clay was acting with the approval of the Admiralty. Several trade vessels, upon sight of this monster, scattered - some Universal freighters among them. I have little doubt word of this will eventually reach Liberty.
No doubt upon reading this, you think my words those of a madman. I wish they were. I was too stunned to take a full graphical report, but I can offer this: New London orbit, 11:23 Standard New London time
Continuing my patrol to Cambridge, I attempted to render assistance to a Junker transport under attack by one Reaver. Sadly, I was unsuccesful, and in the attempt my own craft was heavily damaged. I was able to limp to Planet Cambridge. Repairs to the Templar are ongoing, but shall take at least a day.
This concludes my report.
