Okay. First of all, guys, this mod does not exist. That's just... hmm... concept of it. There's no modders team, there's nothing. EVERYTHING here is only my hypothetical scenario.

So, I think some of you already saw the topic where I've talked about something like this before.

After some testings, I believe that Battlefront 2 is modding-friendly and it's fast-paced gameplay fits everything I'm thinking about right now.

I hope you all know about what CCP's new project called "Dust 501" (or something like this) which represents the ground battles of EVE Online universe. All the victories and losses in D501 makes changes in the whole EVE universe.
I'm thinking... why not integrating this into Discovery?

So. Here's small summary of what the mod supposed to have:
  • Variety of models for each faction (Liberty, Rheinland, Outcasts and others) - Unique unit and vehicle models and textures for each Sirius faction (smaller factions would use some sort of more generic model set);
  • 'Phased match' (the fighting side could choose do they want this or not) - It's the row of several battles to interpretate the occupation of well-defended and faction-wise important planet.

Phase One - Orbital battle (it would take the place in Disco). If the attacking faction looses the battle, there's no continue.

Phase Two - Battle for outskirts (this would take the place in mod). If oppressors wins the first phase, they proceeds an attack in some sort of outskirts of the Capital of planet (some plain woods or fields). If oppressors wins, the Phase Three starts.

Phase Three - Battle for the Capital. Just a simple battles in some urban territory. If oppressors wins, they continue the occupation.

Phase Four - Occupation. Battle for some sort of the center of the capital. If oppressing faction wins - they take the control of the planet.

If oppressing faction looses in any phase, they retreat to the previous one. If they're defeated in Phase Two, there's no need of playing the Phase One again.
  • 'Game Master function/Roleplay aspects' - If it's possible, there can be some sort of Game Master function (admin, responsible for in-game events), who creates something unexpected to make the battle more interesting (for example: orbital bombardment).

Roleplay aspects stands for pre-battle made objectives/missions for any of the fighting side. It can be created inRP by any of the faction leaders. (For example: "Our troops has to take this point and hold it for 5 minutes to make sure that we'll receive the needed supplies.")
Probably, not everything here is very informative and understandable... I'm tired a bit.

If I'll get some spare time, I'll try to look for modders who would be interested in the creation of the mod. Gameplay-wise there's not so much to change, however, there's some nice work with maps and models.

Any opinions? Comments?

Forgot to add: some maps of battleship's interior would be added too.

RIGHT?

It's a mod... most of the mods violates the copyright stuff. Plus, the copying here would be minimal - names of factions and probably mentions of the locations.

meh
stuff should happen in the game freelancer not in any other game

Roleplaying something here it's like writing a book or something.
And as you can see only admins can change the story line not players

No need of advanced and powerfull game. Most of people, who plays Disco still have old PC's. The mod should be reachable to all the players.
