It looks like the Junkers were naughty boys.

We caught these Sirian criminals, who openly claimed that they wanted to pirate Royal navy assets, in the Languedoc area, so of course we did what all good Gallic citizens would do in these circumstances: get them to go away back home. Things quickly heated up, and so did our weapons. Let's be honest, we're between friends here: we know Languedoc isn't pretty for you guys right now, and we wouldn't have bothered reporting this to you if they'd have went into hiding anywhere but there.

Oh my! Junkers hiding Sirian Criminals! What a shock!

Of course, I believe you could use -that- as a pretext to make a Junker or two pay up or face consequences. Who would they run to complaint to, anyway, the police? Ah!

Yours truly,

Aurèlie LaBrise

Madame LaBrise,

This is very interesting to know. I do want you to know that we will be looking into this, but I have to ask why do you show... concern about the junkers being? They don't do anything but gravel with Sirians and clean our junk fields. Them housing these Sirians troubles me but knowing that you "civilians" of Gallia has problems with others civilians is what catches my attention. And those... Ghost pirates? Can be dealt with. Internal matters trouble me more.

I'll be honest with you. This feud between us and the Junkers has lasted for so long that both sides probably forgot how it even really started. It's been a century since we hava taken Bourbon as part of these hostilities. There could be plenty of reasons. Some of them concerning some of our activities and how they conflict each others. Or the fact Junkers point at us when they need scapegoats. You know exactly what I'm talking about. Point is, I know that they're Gallic Citizens, and that most of them are just as lawful as your next man. But there's a minority, and I'm sure you're aware of it, that we do not appreciate. Not only this, but you have to consider that there was quite a substantial number of our former Junker "friends" who simply fled to Sirius to sell information to the first bastard which would pay for it, and that could easily compromise some of our activities and the equilibrium of our house. I've even heard a rumor or two about how the Royals now consider some of them as a nuisance and extra dead weight since the way to Sirius opened, and consider taking action on it. The Junkers do have their place in this house, but you sometimes have to remind them to keep it. Also, I'd rather have these betrayers be Council people or Brigands: those we can handle with much more ease, and with a pay at the end of the day.

Though, I'd rather not have to shoot a fellow citizen of my House, and neither do most of my men. The bloody gang wars are a thing of another era, and there will not be a repeat of Bourbon while I am at the head of this family. You could say the spirit of it keeps on living, though.

Yours truly,

Aurèlie LaBrise.

Madame LaBrise,

I hope I can trust nothing will come around between your men and the junkers... at least while we look. We'll take care of these Sirians easy. Unless there's something else you have to say I'll be cutting this connection.

Actually, one last question.

Care if I take you out for coffee, one day?
