Admin approval of factions is one of the major RP controls we have on the server. It smells of server police, and will be fought against, because groups are afraid of sacrificing power. Right now, the faction proposal system is open for everyone to comment on, with the admins saying yes or no at the end, and explaining why. It seems to work rather well, and its only been this way for 2 weeks, so there are bound to be some kinks. Anyway, having the faction leaders be the only ones who can comment on faction proposals takes what little control the community has away from the masses. More than server police, which is often a proposal to take power from the admins (which I occasionally support) this idea proposes to take power away from the community, and I'm rabidly against that.

Um, Unselie, I think he's talking about the Faction Status thread. Not the Faction Proposals.
The title of this thread is misleading though.
