And you thought ganking was bad now? Once that base is located, and APB will go out and no nomad force on Disco will be able to save you.
Ok, here's my presumptions. The base will need supplies right? So like Mox, it will wear down the O2 commoditied it needs to keep from "dying." If we have a level of control on the base, it will pretty much be like an unmovable battleship.
Only thing we havent nailed down is:
Once the base is blown up, will we have to buy a totaly new one or will it respawn?
Is the placement of the station random or fixed? I think someone was talking about that.
Personally, I'm going to let all of you buy a station and in 4 months actually consider it.
It would be a hoot if the bases randomly spawned, if your base appears in gun range of someone elses base.
Again, all in the air for now.
Be Ye WARNED!
Sometimes, when all you want is to gain your freedom, you must be willing to risk it all.
Bases will probably have to go through Admin scrutiny first, as well as the location and price being determined as reasonable. To my mind, this would be the only way of not having 200 stations outside Manhattan or having faction bases outside their ZOI.
However, this will obviously cause bias issues so I guess I'll just wait and see like the rest of you.
I find certain things alarming though, such as certain factions RPing the construction of their base while no one seems to have the first clue as to how they are to be implemented. Why waste the RP and billions of credits if you don't even know if you will be able to build the base in the location you have designated?
Then of course there's the house laws forbidding construction of bases in their space until such time as they have scouted and secured the locations suitable for them. All in all, it really is going to be fun to see how this plays out.
