Is there a nice, clean, step by step on the preparation and installation for 4.86?
Isn't there something you have to keep/copy/move around in order to re-install from scratch, but so as not to completely lose your known "id" on the server? I think that would be a really important post to have for those who haven't had to re-install for years on end.

Go to Freelancer Mod Manager and restore backups. This should deactivate your 4.85 mod. Then delete it. Then go to Freelancer and uninstall. Don't do a reinstall, i tried and it kept some 4.85 files. So uninstall it, then install it again. If you don't have the CD use google to find torrent downloads. After that, run the 4.86 installer.
