Idea of these is that on a large BS with over 10 slots. It should be somewhat benefical to use a mix of normal solaris and 2-3 of these.

I tried 5/5 Normal/Gatling Solaris on my Legate- not a chance to do any noticeable dmg over 700-900 m to snubs in real battle. Unlike the 4.85 one- it was high effective at the edge of its range.
Now I use 8 standard solaris and 2 flaks- still testing.
Talsestin I linked the gatling ones together with the normal ones since they both go in the same balance group of BS- Anti snub defence. I still cannot remember- please help- solaris now is 2000 speed and 4.85 one was 2400?

Holy crap im agreeing with govedo. Yes, i too have found that the gatling solaris is rather ineffective. Secondaries now do the same job BETTER, becuase at least when they hit it does a good amount of damage.

Their concept is good, but their dispersion is too high for their purpose, unless one was to make the bullets flak-style. (server load problem with that)

I would suggest lowering the energy cost for these or reducing dispersion, or increasing damage, one of these three, to bring it in line to be actually useful. As it is, waste of energy and slot compared to all other options.

Indeed, exactly what I've been sayin about em.

/signed.

The secondaries are the best anti fighter, I've tried full normal solaris on my Juggernaut and it kills NPC's so slow, and real people probably even slower.

Secondaries have higher damage and are only a small amount slower.
