I was doing some exploration in Single Player to see these two new systems for Bretonia which are not yet or never will be available. Here is what I found about them and some suggestions:
New Cambria
- Empty system with 2 stations: One for BAF and one for Mollies.
- Few asteroid fields which may contain usefull ores like: gold, boron or niobium.
- Nebulas, nebulas and a lot of nebulas...You can't see anything in front of you but you get the feeling you are in a ... nebula:)
Suggestions: From the lore Bretonia is located in a rich sector filled with raw materials: Ores. Dublin is the first example of a sector filled with gold ore. Leeds is filled with small ammount of niobium while Cambridge with boron. New Cambria may be the forth sector where all 3 "bretonian" ores can be found in small ammounts. If that is true a BMM station like Graves should be there somewhere. I found an "unstable jump hole" located in Dublin near sector H2. Maybe it could be a suitable connection from Dublin to New Cambria.
In short this system is nothing that special but If all 3 ores can be found there in small ammouts, it would be a huge and second mining ground next to Dublin, giving the miners, mollies, pirates and lawfuls a new ground of actions.
New Anglia
- >>NavMap<<
- Very interesting system and well made
- It contains 5 planets: 2 Moons, 2 Gas Giants and 1 planet similar to New Berlin. All are uninhabited
- 1 asteroid and 1 nebula fields
- Bases:
--Luxury Liner Shetland (OSC base)
--BAF shipyard (looking like a border station)
--BAF Outpost
--Border World Exports station
Suggestions: This system is excellent. I dont know why its not yet or wont be in the future updates but its very well made. It contains a lot of structures, asteroid fields, nebulas and a lot RP behind them. The planet Nottingham (similar to New Berlin) SHOULD be inhabited with small population. New Anglia should be the next small colony of Bretonia, which in future could be something big like New London. Suitable connection to other bretonian systems could be from Chester which is empty world with nothing to keep the players there. A small jump hole >>Here<< will bring a lot of traffic. A small border station (like Dunblane in dundee) located in Chester could keep the traffic secured.
In short this system is already filled with a lot of things that deserve to be in the mod. Devs, if you delete it or not add it in the mod then your efforts to create it would be for nothing.
Conclussion: All Houses has received new systems with new trading, mining, patroling and pirating possibilities except Bretonia. Bretonia should have these two systems if not now at least in the future updates.

Straight out... No. Really, no. Bretonia is in the worst position of all of the Houses. Its position west of the Barrier nebula wasn't picked because it was a nice area - it was actually picked because the other Houses had already claimed the good spots. Bretonia arrived 20 years late, and were thus relegated to the worst sector of Sirius, which stunted their economy for centuries. As a matter of a fact, the only people worse off are the Hispanic factions, and that's arguable seeing as the Omicrons and Omegas are supposedly full of untapped resources.
Bretonia is starved of planets compared to the other Houses, and only has moderate amounts of minerals. New London is completely mined out, Leeds should be mined out (but isn't in reality to preserve a sense of balance between the IMG and BMM) and Dublin is an anomaly. Bretonia spent centuries playing economic catch-up to bring itself on par with the other Houses.
I basically wince whenever I hear about the new systems, because I can garuntee they're going to be a train-wreck. More to the point, they're a fit of deux ex machinia Igiss threw in because he realised that he'd effectively capsized Bretonia when he wrote the massively owerpowered lore for Gallia. I say if he drew up the GRN to its present strength, they should at least play out the consequences properly.
Fallback / New Colony systems.
That's the general idea that Igiss had for the systems.
They don't really add much to the mod though, other than stretching out the player base and softening the GRN blow, which is not a good thing.
EDIT:
On a less negative note.
Chester and other systems that are already in the mod direly need attention.
Folks putting forward plans and suggestions like Jammi and Unseelie did are great as it's something to consider and we know there is demand for it.
I can't really see these systems being of much use yet though, I'd say it's better to develop on what we have first.
Look a bit more inwards instead of always outwards.
Thanks for the suggestions and summarys though, folks taking actual interest in systems makes modding better:)
