We the Battleship Terrors will release the New Tokyo and Berlin systems if all of our ships are defeated in naval combat by enemy opposing forces.
We propose a fight between our ships and whatever organization wishes to oppose us.
It is unlikely that we will be able to pull more than 4 of our captains away from taxation duty at any particular time. Therefore we propose our best 4 battleships vs your best 4 ships.
(if someone wishes to bring craft other than a battleship perhaps we could rework those numbers slightly)
The rules will be as follows:
1) The fight will take place in New Berlin, because we hold her diamond mines captive.
2) Disconnects happen, but anyone F1'ing out or disconnecting twice during the battle will automatically be eliminated and counted as destroyed. Note that this does not mean that it is either sporting or "fair" to f1 once for a free shield recharge.
3) Once destroyed you may respawn, but you may not rejoin the battle.
4) There will be a designated area for the engagement, as well as designated spectator areas.
5) The fight will be as even as possible, (not necessarily 4 on 4 but that's the base idea) however you are not required to have all the ships present at the start of the fight. You may not However call in random ships to participate; only designated ships may take place in the battle.
More rules may follow, but these serve as a guidline.
We hope some brave fools will dare face us in open & even combat; However if there are not enough willing commanders we may fight anyone who wishes to oppose us at the (to be determined) designated time. We feel confident that nothing aside from tradelanes, asteroids or planets will defeat us!
But isn't that unfair? I mean there isn't anymore than 2 people outside the Battleship Terrors who have battleships so how will it be an even fight and even if you get beat what to stop you from retaking the systems in a few weeks when you get bored again or even worse taking over 2 different systems straight away.
