Hail, Ladies and Gentlemen.
I am calling you in the name of our glorious kingdom of Bretonia, in the name of the Bretonian Merchant Navy.
As you may already know, or at least, should know... the Bretonian Merchant navy has actual standing contracts with the republic of Rheinland, especially regarding the amounts of escorts that can be brought into your sovereign space (Carbon Copy) and the amount of escorts that were allowed before our last, well... let me say, border struggle (Carbon Copy).
My actual information, and the main part of why I am contacting you, is that the Bretonian Merchant Navy has, again, undergone some restructuration. The war with Gallia, that could never been foreseen, and anyways has come, made Bretonia to think twice about the structure of the merchant navy again. It had been decided to leave the actual [Convoy] IFF transponder, for to be replaced with a new one, giving out the signal of BAF|MN- . The Merchant Navy still remains under the same structure, with the only difference of having the actual/former admiral of the merchant navy being retiring. Admiral Jack Schwarz, MBE, has retired of the Bretonian Merchant navy, his place is being taken by myself.
Allow me to introduce myself, I am Admiral Sir Finlay O'Dukes, Lord Hamilton, of the Bretonia Armed Forces. The Merchant Navy of Bretonia will be led as it was before, and I myself am planning to take over the same ship used by Admiral Schwarz before, the Rubber_Duck.
So, long term short. What the Merchant Navy is asking for:
- having the new IFF transponders recognized
- getting the former amount of licensed escort ships being restored
- permission to enter the system of koeln, to deliver goods and to take up goods being shipped inside Rheinland
An open broadcast to any available civilian channel would follow, as soon as the requested permissions are given by the Rheinland admiralty.
Ladies and Gentlemen, please remember. This new agreement would, or at least could, be something both our parties could benefit of.
With best regards, in everlasting faith of her glorious majesty
Admiral Sir Finlay O'Dukes, Lord Hamilton
Admiral of the Merchant Navy
Military Governor of Newcastle
P.S.: The renewing of the current structures should be done during the next 2 weeks. All ships bearing a different IFF transponder then may officially be stopped, arrested and been reported to myself. I will take care about anyone that is still carrying a [Convoy] transponder after the restructuration should have been done.

[font=Verdana]SUBMITTER:Admiral Joachim Landers, Rheinland Military Oberkommando RECIPIENT:Admiral Sir Finlay O'Dukes, Lord Hamilton, of the Bretonia Armed Forces. SUBJECT:Bretonian Merchant Navy
Guten tag Admiral,
I'm Joachim Landers, Admiral und leader of the Rheinland Military. As far as I can remember, we've never had any problems with the former Bretonian Merchant Navy, therefore the Oberkommando can't see anything against your requests.
Your new signal "BAF|MN" is added to our database and ships with this IFF will be treated like the former, "[Convoy]" ones.
The Merchant Navy is allowed to bring:
- 4 Snubcrafts
- 2 Bretonian Gunboats
for the purpose of escort.
Your permission of enter Koeln and docking rights on Wuppertal are granted to the Merchant Navy transports. Respect our laws, follow the instructions of the law enforcers and everything will be fine.
Good luck in the future, Admiral!
Signed,
Admiral Joachim Landers,
Oberkommando des Rheinland Militärs.
