Okay, the time has come to upgrade from my current PoS to an uber modern pwnzor laptop.. And having negative knowledge about computers, I need your help please..
What I'll be using it for:
Gaming, some multimedia apps (maybe photoshop), and any things that may arise in the future (Basically, I want something reasonably future-proof for the next few years..)
What I'm looking for:
Large hard drive - Around 300-400GB Enough RAM - Around 2-4GB (Enough to handle Vista and more) Decent Processor - Core 2 Duo or the equivalent (This is good right?) Decent Video Card - High end (Good, but not necessarily the best, comparable to the Geforce 8800 or something similar..) DVD Burner - Not sure about HD or Blu-ray or Dual Layer, Which would be the best? Screen Size - Around the 15" range (13"/17" at a pinch) Weight - Not super-heavy, but I don't mind a bit of weight if it's worth it..
Price: Around $1.5k - $2k would be reasonable, no?
I would GREATLY appreciate it if some of you could help me find something that would meet most of this criteria.
PS: I live in Canada.. so not sure about availability, etc.. If you guys know of any good sites to order from, I don't mind doing that..
