Viktor was born on Planet Holstein, as a child of a wealthy family. He was quite interested in almost everything in his childhood and known as a calm boy. His parents, of course wanted the best for their child, so they took him to the best school in New Berlin. After a few years, Viktor was fed up with the community which surrounded him, the immorality, the laxity. He was just 14 back then, though he decided to be a soldier one day. He left the primary school as a disciplined and determined person.
The next few years were spent in a high school, specialized for military and pilot career. Fortunately, his parents had supported this idea. Besides studying, he become a navigator of a small transport vessel of the Republican, not a best of job, but he got used to the space fast. After finishing high school, Viktor joined the Military Academy and finished it as well as it was possible for a soldier.
He was assigned to the 56th Staffel, secondary fleet and reached the rank of Feldwebel. The purpose of the squadron was destroying military structures, like satellites and communication buoys in Texas, attack military convoys if they had the opportunity, which required high military experience and sharp mind. After two years of serving, Viktor reached the rank of Hauptfeldwebel, his confirmed kills were 50 / year in average. Viktor's commanding officer recommended him to the BDM.
Leaving behind the past, the easy life and a wealthy family, a new life awaited for him.
[color=#FFFFFF]Where the elite pilots of Rheinland can be found besides top secret experiments and mysterious things which are remained unrevealed, became Viktor's new home, the Schatten Research Facility. Between the most powerfull military technology, the corridors crowded with walking scientist and soldiers all the time, Viktor was amazed, when he stepped out from the transport in the docking bay with a sports bag. Everybody seemed busy and no emotion could have been sensed in this base. This is where his training and his new life was started.
The training was much more hard than Viktor could have ever imagined it. An agent have to be strong physically and mentally after all. At that point he finally understand his future and accepted the risk of loosing everything in seconds. That is where he met with his future wingmen and Admiral Landers, though he was a Major back then. Landers had seen the opportunity in Viktor before he even started the training and monitored his progress.
Viktor became one of the best intelligence agent at Schatten in a year, before his last mission...
[color=#FFFFFF]The most dangerous operation in the history of the BDM involved Agent Amott and his wing. Rheinland required a great powersource to repel the Liberty invasion and seize Texas. It was known to him that experiments of next tech generators had been failed, so they didn't have to tell him that the only way to create a stronger energy source was to steal one from the Nomads, or steal any technology whereof hey could make a hybrid but stable generator.
Three not regular soldiers were sent to the unknown without official support from the Military Oberkommando. It was known to them the only way to get one of those called "energy source" was to enter the extremely restricted system, Omega-55. Obviously none of them wanted to risk it, so they went to the Omicrons instead. They reached Omicron Delta where they encountered a Rheinland fighter, though as far as they knew there weren't any other Rheinland agents in the area, but them.
The pilot of the mysterious Wraith named himself Agent Dronjak, and told them he had been sent there for the same reason, and he had found something. On their way to an asteroid field, unknown fighters surrounded them, the Corsairs. The agents were heavily outnumbered but decided to fight them back. Suddenly, the corsairs fled from the area, and the whole system became suspiciously quiet.
Agent Dronjak asked them to follow him to a jump hole. On the way, Viktor had a headache and felt something was wrong. He started hallucinating thousands of ships guarding the jump hole and he nearly lost his consciousness, when a communication channel was established between him and Major Landers. The Major ordered him to fall back to Rheinland immediately.
Viktor saw his wing and Agent Dronjak moving into the hole and the ships went after them, then he passed out. When he opened his eyes, he was in a hospital room. Major Landers came into the room and had a conversation with him. Viktor was told not to tell anybody about this and he was reassigned to the Hauptflotte in the rank of Leutnant. Later, he was angry, that Landers hadn't let him completing his mission.
[color=#FFFFFF]In 4 weeks, Viktor recovered, though he would never forget what happened out there. While he was forced to be in the area of the field hospital in Stuttgart, he was searching for answers. Who’s Agent Dronjak? What ships he saw? What happened with his wing? However, he could not do anything but wait. Waiting for something. Something, which is almost unexplainable. The answer. Viktor couldn’t stop wondering about the whole mission. The word of „Delta” echoed in his head louder and louder then he suddenly passed out in his bed. The next morning, he felt like he was sleeping for weeks. His head was clear from the chaos which was caused by the mission. Regarding to his condition, Major Landers allowed him to return to the Karlsruhe. Before he went out from the hospital, the Major had talked with him. He was wondering about if Viktor was allright and also told him his new assignment. From this day, Viktor became the leader of the Adler Wing, the main patrol wing of the military. He felt relieved after Dämmerung.
For months, he was allright and barely can remember what happened in Delta. He felt happy in the Hauptflotte, training the fliegers, fighting with hessians and the liberty navy. His combat excellence was unique and showed a good example for all soldier. As the commander of the Adler, he even led attacks into Texas successfully.
5 months after Dämmerung, he received a message from his former commander in the BDM. He wanted to talk with Viktor at Schatten. It reminded him the horror what happened with him back in Delta, though he didn’t feel bad about it. At Schatten, his former commander, one of his best friends awaited him.
„Ahh, Viktor! It’s a pleasure to see you again here!” – he said with happy face while shaking hands with Amott.
„Likewise, so what do we have?”
„Let’s talk somewhere else.”
With that, the commander went with Viktor to the briefing room.
Viktor and his commander were walking on a corridor, when a young beautiful women passed them. She looked into Viktor's eyes and smiled nicely. Viktor looked after her as she walked away with the usual feminine walking. He just stared at her when he realized the commander pushed him into the briefing room.
„The months in the Hauptflotte made you to forget paying attention?”
„I’m sorry Commander Weber.”
„Please have a seat.”
Viktor sat down on a chair right next to a table. The room was dark, only the lamp was giving some light above the table. The place is changed much. Viktor had no idea if it’s because of the lack of light, but he felt the whole place different and alien. He was looking around for a few seconds, the room was empty and quiet. He remembered all of his briefings here and now he’s „just a soldier”.
„You know Viktor, we never had the opportunity to talk with you after Dämmerung. We thought the best was if we let you rest after it.”
As Weber talked, he opened a notebook and made it ready for recording.
„Please tell me what exactly happened.”
„With all due respect Commander Weber, that’s why you ordered me here to Schatten to talk about things which happened months ago?”
Weber’s serious looking made Viktor sigh, so he started telling what he had seen. He told everything about their plans in the Omicrons, Agent Dronjak, the hallucination. As he mentioned the jump hole, he saw a flashlight. For some seconds he was starring at it then he closed his eyes. As he opened them again, he was in Omicron Delta again, the whole thing seemed real, though it was just a memory.
„Schatten zwei und drei, join the formation.”
„Roger that Schatten eins.”
…
„Unidentified Rheinland ship, this is Agent Amott, BDM. Explain yourself now!.
…
„This is Agent Dronjak, Rheinland Military Intelligence Agency.”
…
„Follow me to the jump hole, I found something which is what we are looking for.”
…
Viktor told him about what happened at the jump hole, what the first thing he remembered after it and how he was in the Hauptflotte. After Weber had written everything he closed the notebook and looked at Viktor in the eye.
„Listen to me herr Amott. This talking was not the only reason why I ordered you to come here. We have a job for you. A chance to make you feel better after all these. A chance to be an agent again.”
Viktor was shocked when Weber told him about this. Somehow, he blamed himself because he hadn’t been able to save his wing back in Delta, then he blamed Major Landers for not letting him finish his mission. At this moment, he felt relieved, although he knew, that wouldn’t have saved Schatten 2 and 3.
„What do you say, Amott?”
He sighed and said firmly: „I’m in.”
At that very moment, the lights went on in the briefing room and 3 recruit entered the room. Two of them were male, but the third one was the woman Viktor had seen on his way to the briefing room. This time she was serious and did not even look at him. The 3 recruit saluted to Commander Weber.
„Agents, this is Leutnant Viktor Amott. He’ll be your new commander and trainer. His duty is to make the best out from three of you, and make you ready to your new assignment, verstanden?
„Jawohl!”- shouted the three recruits happily but firmly. When the recruits left, Weber turned to Viktor.
„Your objective is to turn them into agents, the best ones! As for you, you are to train yourself here both physically and mentally. That is the only thing you are supposed to know right now. You’ll know everything in time, am I clear?”
„Yes sir!” – Shouted Viktor and saluted.
Viktor was happy when he left the room. A new chapter of his life has started
