Hail, Ladies and Gentlemen.

I am calling you in the name of our glorious kingdom of Bretonia, in the name of the Bretonian Merchant Navy.

As you know, Bretonia actually acts as some sort of "Buffer" to the Gallic invasion. By this, the amount of supplies needed in our glorious kingdom is higher than ever before. You, as our closest ally, are the main source for them, and we are glad to have the ties that strong as they are, actually. With the Liberty Navy assisting against the Gallic threat, we can stand a lot longer than we could stand on our own.

The Merchant Navy is doing their best, to keep the supplies rolling. But even at our current strength, the menace never has been worse. We face a lot of criminals during our supply missions, and recently, a lot more of them in gunboat class vessels.
Due to our recent ongoing agreement, allowing the Liberty Navy to enter Bretonian Space in capital ships as a part of the defense force, I am adressing to you in an important matter.

The Merchant Navy recently had the option, to put an old, decommissioned Bretonia destroyer back into service. It would need some repairs, and technical re-organisation, but after that could pretty well serve as an escort vessel for our convoys on the way to liberty.
I dont ask you for parts of actual contracts being changed, but for a single destroyer class vessel eventually to be added. It would serve Bretonia, and by this strengthen our frontlines towards our common opponent, Gallia.

Bretonia is in need of those supplies we bring in, and never shall fall.
I rely on your knowledge and common sense in this decision, Ladies and Gentlemen.

Sir Finlay O'Dukes;

I have passed this message on to defense secretary Robert McKay, who is currently in talks with your admiralty. I expect that, since our ships may be permitted into the Kingdom of Bretonia to assist in your conflict directly, we could see a Bretonian destroyer within our borders for escort duties without too much trouble.

Hail, Commodore Robinson.

I am glad to hear, that the Republic of Liberty does not see a problem in our request, and that you have already forwarded my request to Mr. McKay.
I myself have already heard, that the exact name of the ship had been desired, to be put into the contract which is to be made, and I am proud to be able to tell you that the ship will receive the Name BAF|MN-HMS-Exeter, once being ready outfitted. The ships name has also been forwarded to Mr. McKay already, consider this letter just an informal message to your side, Commodore.

With all respect, and hail to her glorious Majesty

Admiral Sir Finlay O'Dukes, Lord Hamilton
Admiral of the Merchant Navy
Military Governor of Newcastle
