Yeah you know.. that's the problem..if you are chasing him and firing on him and he tries to dock. then it's ok...

but otherwise..

once I was wasted in my fighter while docking on a JG... by a Cruiser that jumped from the other side (into a Swarm of some 15 npcs around me) so I couldn't see him... and he wasted me without saying a word in the half second it took to enter cinematic.. I exploded just as it started.

And yes I initiated the jumping sequence as close to the starting place as possible.

even better are mercs that sit around all friendly and wait until you hit the docking button (so your docking lights turn up).. then waste you

Solution: learn the fast-dock points for the major station types

No longer active online due to a dwindling amount of non-PvP (trading, pirating, mining, etc.) fun in the new version.

That doesn't help if you are undocking. Shooting someone before they demonstrate control of their ship is just lame.

Oh, and some of those speed docking places lead to instant crash to desktop. I know Rochester does.

Hmm, where have I come? Why does it seem so familiar to this one?

Its really very simple..

Attack a player as he undocks is lame and against the server rules. You must wait until his sheild comes up and even then an announcement of your intention to attack should be made for RP's sake.

Docking on the other hand is completley seperate. Doesn't matter if its a Planet, base or trade lane ring, if you try to dock under fire and are killed it is your own fault! Either press escape before you enter the cinematic on a base or planet and defend yourself. With regards to new players, alot enter a TL ring and have it shot out from underneath them and then stay still getting shot to bits thinking they cant move! Press escape to breack the dock and give your attacker hell:)

To sum up, killing someone undocking: illegal
Killing someone docking: legal and hard cheese on the person trying to dock, it was your own fault.

:crazy:Attack a player as he undocks is lame and against the server rules. :rtfm:

Entering cinematic mode yet never docking - normally happens if the player is temporarly disconnected from server -
