As I dearly do wish to join one faction or the other as it's bound to increase my joyability in this game I'm not sure jumping straight into one is the best route to go. What I mean is that by sitting back, just looking around for how things are and how things work I'll get a better understanding of the different factions (and hopefully the game/server in total) and can thusly make a more educated guess in where I'll fit in. I know this is a roleplaying game, but from past experience I know it's damn near impossible to leave out core-aspects of how you are in real-life in your character in game. As such it's rather important you fit in, otherwise my actions and my character won't feel genuine.

But feel free to point me in the direction of different factions. As of right now I don't know what I'd like to do. I do know that flying in squadrons is fun, battles on a bigger scale is fun, however spending four hours doing a trade-trip can be fun on another level. So keep trying to lure me in (offers of a nice ship is always appreciated too. While I do like the agility of the light fighters I can afford right now, I really don't like class 2-3 weapons and basically no shields)

Also, thank you all for the warm welcome, it's beyond heartwarming to see that a game which I thought was dead is still sprawling with this much life.

Some personnal suggestion;
For lawful faction, I'd say SA (Liberty) and QCRF (Bretonian) as well as RM (Rheinland) are probably my 3 favorites for fleet like faction. The three seems relatively active as well. KNF (Kusari) is apparently active, but I seldom see any of them.

Lesser lawful among my favorites are LPI (very good rp), and the BPA (though again, seldom see any of them on these days). I have a good opinion on the recently formed RFP, though didnt made much contact with them.

If you seek unlawful, I'd say, please, avoid at all cost Corsairs. Too many already, too many using the id and tag as capship whoring units, too many oorp, to date, I've barely seen any of them doing decent rp (there are exceptions, but exceptions are not majority.)
I'd say, you might try out a faction in the outcast alliance system, or one of these rheinland criminal faction.

good luck out there.

For now I've applied to the LPI, they seem a friendly enough bunch. With your added advice I'm happy with that move of mine. We'll see where this leads me.

(and now I also saw that you already noticed that as you were reading my application.)

The LPI are a fun bunch. We do our best to keep things in RP and protect the donuts. We obey all the laws of God, Liberty, and Chuck Norris, as you may have noticed. For us, discretion isn't just the better part of valor, it IS valor!
