I'm all for this, have guard bases sell pilots for their faction so you don't have to blow up your NPC allies to get your RP cargo. And make them cost as much as, or more than, the best selling price on prisons and the likes.
It'd also make sense in-RP that factions pay the best prices to get their own pilots back, so it won't wreck the prison-station's being the best sellpoint if you're gonna blow NPCs up for pilots, cos if you're blowing the NPCs up, you shouldn't be visiting their guard bases.

Similar to spaceship crews, in-RP you don't buy them, but once they're bought, they become an RP tool.
As people *do* occasionally to use faction pilots to represent their character in-RP, I think there should be a way of getting that pilot (ie. buying it) that doesn't involve the OORP blasting of a faction ship. At the very least a single OORP action of buying a pilot is far less detrimental to both RP and repsheets than shooting your own team-mates?
