I'm sure you've heard of the troubles that the Sevastopol Division has. If not, please allow me to enlighten you.
Many of our number are infected with cardamine dependency. The reasons for this are quite diverse; some of our pilots were formerly part of the Maltese Navy, some were formerly slaves, and some simply took the drug - cardamine was never illegal in the Colonial Republic, at least for citizens. Obviously, this poses a rather severe problem. In the Taus, there was no shortage of cardamine. While we can still intercept a few transports a week, and bring their cargo to Omega-50, it's not enough.
I've heard you are the greatest scientist this side of the Barrier. Rumor has it Cryer has been trying to synthesize cardamine for years now in a non-addictive form, and with no luck. If you can do it - that is, if you're not otherwise occupied - then the entire Division would be greatly indebted to you and the rest of the Coalition. If you are up to the task, I'll have someone send you the technical specifications of what's within acceptable bounds for mimicking the stuff. Any supplies you need can be easily obtained.
