Maybe that would work in a special event, where the head of state was in a transport of sorts and was ambushed, a lot like the Donau in the beginning of vanilla FL. But a president taking part in a fight just defies any kind of logic, period.
Leading their men into battle and fighting alongside them in the first lines was the habit of medieval warlords. You can barely find any leader of most of the nations of our present following such habits. And I think neither you will find any in Sirius, 818 AS, save for some cultures where hierarchy is based on strenght/skill, and the strongest/most skilled leads his people. But those definitely won't be the Houses.
