Basically what has happened is that the copyright stuff has run out on these movies, so they're free for distribution, whatever.

I suggest using IMDB to sort out the good stuff from the crap. Of course, some stuff will be obvious. "Cyrano DeBergerac", "D.O.A", and "The Last Man on Earth" (the movie based on the same book as "I Am Legend") are all fantastic; "Jesse James Meets Frankenstein's Daughter", eh, not so much.

I think Un Chien Andalou is on that site, and that is the greatest work of surrealism you will see.

The other film rendering of "The last man on earth" was made a while back and is called Omega Man has the ex head of the NRA in the lead role.
