Neither toes nor fingers seemed to have any life left in them, but she could still see them attached to rest of her body so she could assume with fair certainty that they were still operational. Aside from detailed observation of her extremities, Layla tried to focus on the ground. She was following a line which distantly resembled footprints. Although the raging snow that was dancing in the wind and grazing over the surface quickly wiped out the traces, it still took it a few minutes to fulfill the job completely. So either John or Austin needed to have gone this way. If she didn't lose the track she would inevitably stumble upon either of them, she concluded. It would have probably been much safer to stay in the ship but she didn't care at all in this moment. For maybe two minutes Layla kept painstakingly making her way forward until she noticed some sort of noise. It sounded like a far distant whoop, very far indeed.

John heard him, and slowly made his way to Austin through enormous amounts of snow. He showed up wearing his pilot helmet. "There you go. Do you have any idea where we are?" He then tried to clean his dewy visor, but without any effect. "Bloody hell, I can't see anything in this thing! Anyway we'd better get back to our base. This storm is much worse than I've expected, and other ships are probably buried in the snow already."

Mike was snoozing when Layla decided to leave into the Blizzard aswell.
The cold air that woshed into the Cargobay stirred Mike awake again.

Bloody hell, Goodman and John back?

He asked at first not yet noticing that it was Layla who opened the Baydoor and went outside.

The coin dropped fast enough for him, he decided to see what they had packed for the possibility of rationing if the Storm really held longer than a few hours.

After some time packing everything out Mike saw that food wouldn't be a problem over a few days, water on the other hand...

Well this is now taking a bit too long out there.

Mike walked over to the bay to see if they were waiting outside not able to get back in..
But as he tried to let the Baydoor down he noticed that it had been either frozen shut or snowed in.

Great just bloody great... well I don't suppose that this leaves me with much of a choise.

He sweard and made his way up into the cockpit.
This will either grill me alive and cremate everybody that is sitting close to the engines. *chuckles* Well better than to freeze to death in here.

With that Mike charged the Cruise engines of Laylas Templar up.

The initial feelings of strength and enthusiasm she entered this trip with speedily faded away while being out in this cold hell. It felt like looking with dismay at a fuel tank gauge rapidly dropping and nearing itself to zero, fearing that it might run out before the landing.
Then the choked voices of two men yelling reached her ears. It was hard to estimate the distance because all her senses were already greatly clouded by the extreme cold and strain put on her for several minutes now already. It couldn't be too far away though; the wailing and clanging noises of the dense dancing snowflakes slashing around her body like tons of grapeshots ricocheting from a massive rampart made it almost impossible to perceive any other sounds.
But Layla kept going, no matter the consequences. She wanted to be with Johnny when she died and she was sure this was the way he had taken before.
