A while back before I deployed (and once while I was) I submitted a faction under the name of Sayne called "Darkside". However, since I havn't been playing that character much and I've really been getting into the Leo character, I was wondering what everyone would think of a faction that would begin shortly after the first series was completed. Would people welcome it? What group would I form it after from the story?

Children of Conviction?

Tainted?

Both don't mesh with the rules very well, Tainted being a faction that wants to destroy all mankind, and CoC who would really be a renegade faction bent on killing all wrong doers, thus making them a Sirius wide police force, something people don't want to see here. Could they work as a possible mercenary clan that just wants to kill all evil people such as Outcasts and Corsairs? I'm not sure how it would work, but I have all these questions and I can't really answer them myself with out someone's help at least, and that's why I'm asking you, the people of discovery.

When I get back from the desert, and I am able to once again resume full ingame capabilities, do you think I should stick with Darkside ran by the Sayne character? Should I move the Darkside leadership to Leo and change the name over to Children of Conviction? Or, should I create a whole new faction based off the Leo series of books, labled as a mercenary group that is bent on killing all evil people and creatures in the universe, to include Nomads and Harvesters.

Give me your thoughts Discovery, I'm in dire need of them now.

Roleplay is dead. Long live Powertraders and PvP I guess.

I personally liked the idea of Darkside. Go with that, with Sayne as leader, in my opinion.

CoC sounds like a group more than a faction. IE: a closely-watched (by the admins) group which hunts down evil-doers for a fee (military ID, killing out of contract with a House only).

Just my thoughts.

At this point I would say its tough to get any faction approved especialy one that is not 100% freelancer.

A faction that wants to kill all mankind already exists in the Keepers. If you want to kill evil people and threats to humanity like the Harvesters maybe you could join up with the order or be a sub section of the order?

Your chances of official approval may rise if you link yourself to something that already exists. Oh and don't forget the crazy 500 million credits.

Darkside does not have to pay the 500 million credits according to Hoodlum. The faction document was posted before that rule was put into effect.
