main problem: Annapurna was beaten by an ugly stick held by another ugly stick. It's just plain ugly. Plus, for a mod claiming to want to get rid of imports, creating an ugly version of the Firefly import was a doubly bad idea.
Did I mention the Annapurna is ugly?
As for the ships proposed in the first post, why should the rheinland miner have a lot more hull, more turrets, and the same cargo as the Liberty ship? where's the balance?

Simple. Mining Conditions.
Liberty mining area's are far safer (if you exclude pirates) in comparison to Rheinland's. SO taking such into effect of heavier armor also plays in key with the other transports at Rheinland's disposal.
While the ship for Liberty is to resemble similar aspects of its other commercial vessel counterparts, it is not to be underestimated. While the proposed Rheinland model is bigger (not yet being modelled by my team), does not mean it is better.

I really can't see many people flying this, kettle? About, perhaps the mining factions could pool to get a new ship or an updated model for the .88 patch.
