You see how much effort and skill it took to destroy just one Battleship with an entire fleet..I would like to know where we lost that ?
We lost that when all the nooblets ran around in BSs that took other BSs to kill them.. So we had to downgrade BSs..
' Wrote:yea - its nice how the battle looks pretty realistic - for what you can say is realistic anyway - but in the end, the ship dies to 3 torpedos haha.
No it doesn't.. It dies to about 4 Crisis Energy Torpedoes, 2 RAD Energy Bombs, 6 Pulsar Missiles, and what looks to be a new form of siege laser there at the end.. Oh, and lots and lots of bombers, fighters, and constant firing from the other, smaller ships and guns.
Whatch what you say Andrew, if Korrd dosent like what you tell him he may sik Hood on you...

not a Gameplay movie
Bunch of things you saw in there won't happen while playing
Yes, however from playing Nexus 1 I do notice it to be VERY much like the gameplay. They probably staged the battle and video taped it. In Nexus you can view any part of the battle quite easy, which is what they did here. The battle wasn't completely in-keeping with what it would have really been like (those big ships and all those fighters and all, it would have been a lot more hectic, but the point of this vid was to make it look nice and not confuse you). As far as I can tell, they reduced the hull of the single battleship (the one that died) so that it would die pretty quickly..
All-in-all I'd say its a pretty good indicator of how the battles will look. I just hope they do a bit better on the campaign and make it a bit more open-play than number 1, which was completely linear with nothing but the missions, not even skirmishes against computers. That and I hope they take away that stupid ship resource thing for equipping your ships..
