No LPI at all are allowed in there without approval of an Admiral or the Director of the LSF. Ever. Period. We aren't government workers, we don't get clearance for that kind of stuff normally, unless the character has gone through all kinds of loyalty testing in RP, they will not get in there. Period.

EDIT: And how do LSF get their IDs if they can't go into Alaska? All LSF can go in there...

Also, Zone 21 = Alaska. The minefield is the "Zone 21 minefield," Zone 21 is the codename for Alaska. Its in rumors and sprinkled throughout the story here and there.

This is a direct copy from the Secure Comms.
Quote:The following individuals, and ONLY THE FOLLOWING INDIVIDUALS, have permanent access to the Liberty Navy's operating area known as Zone 21;
The President, Vice President and Secretary of Defense
Any members of the Liberty Military's High Command (in the Army, those of Colonel rank and higher, in the Navy, those of Captain rank and higher, in the Liberty Security Force, those of Deputy Departmental Supervisor rank and higher)

Watch this space for future security updates.

I say Detectives be allowed because:
A) They're gonna go in there anyways to chase people, and
B) that's their job. Chase people. Kinda defeats the purpose if the fugitives know they can just hide in the minefield and wait for them to go away.

I say SWAT be allowed because: Supposing that a SWAT is the only one on (I think that I'm the only one with an active one anyways), and there's an illegal in Alaska. Wonderful. We can't do anything to him.

I think that Detectives might be allowed to go through the necessary clearance to travel through Alaska, maybe, if a case required it, but there would be loads of red tape. Ostensibly, if someone "hid out" in the minefield then they would be more screwed than out in NY. Practically you have a point, but I think this bit of RP is worth more than that. Anyone who uses the minefield to escape punishment can be seen as abusing the letter of the law and will get a nice perma-ban from Liberty and probably get some excuse to get KoS from everyone else they run to for being such an ass. Seriously, if they think they can "hide" in one of the most well-protected spots in Sirius, don't play with them.

I believe that Alaska should be amended to be included in the rule exemption for LVL30s. However I think that incidents in Alaska should be beefed up to discourage its usage as an outcast/smuggler highway for cardamine runs.

As an LSF agent in training, I have had to chase several ships coming in and out of that system on almost a daily basis. Based on everything I have seen and everything I have read that system is supposed to have several fleets to itself. Its like fort Knox, area 51, and the Pentagon all wrapped into one. You wouldn't just waltz through there like nothings up.

I think the turrets near the gate in the Zone 21 minefield should be active. As well as the ones inside alaska. It almost seems like it is set up like a guard system (Probably where the idea came from but I don't honestly know). I can understand a corsair/order fleet making a move through there but a simple trader would get tagged by Juneau shipyard as they went past. And a hasty military response would be in effect. Like many many ships... Think of it like getting busted trying to get into the FBI or Pentagon. Yeah no one would be like,"oh hey ignore him he is only trying to break into a government/military instillation."...... Nah lots of guns in your face REAL fast.

Just my two cents for now.

"- In systems belonging to server factions and in Connecticut - level 30 limit is not active;"

the wording needs to be revised - its way too vague. - a system "belonging" to a server faction is for example omicron gamma to the corsairs. - the rule says nothing about disco systems or purchased systems. it states a system that is clearly defined as part of this player factions faction. - which includes like 80% of disco.

i know its not meant like that, but rules must be clear, or they are altered in the general perception towards those that have the power to alter them to their liking. so yes, it MUST state that its only disco and purchased systems and those enforcing MUST be the owners.

so not even any order can kill a 29 in 100. but only the Bs| in fact.
if the wording is not changed, i agree that it would not be against the rules if anyone kills an underlevel in a guard system ( or if you take it literally even anywhere else ) - cause the rules refers to the place and the underlevel only, but not to those who enforce it.

Exactly. Random fellow who looks like the prisoners there and running around wildly will probably be shot as an escapee.

Jinx is right, the wording is unclear. It would be nice if it was fixed to specify "player faction owned systems" or "systems strongly associated with a specific player faction or group of factions" one way or another. Personally I would prefer seeing Omicron Alpha, Omicron Gamma, and the Alaska system all lose most of their BHG (pulled back to jumpholes) and become "faction controlled" systems- if a random person hangs around Crete, they shouldn't be complaining when they get shot for taking intel for the Outcasts.

Also, as it stands now there is no clear distinction between server factions and official factions- if the Volksfront lays claim to Luneberg, the Bundschuh Guard System, can we shoot people for entering before we become official? I would think we would have to find another technicality to shoot them by until we bought the system/became official (whichever is meant), but I really don't know.

killhappyfool, a few weapons platforms seems like pittance. Put a battleship there. It might make SP hell, but it isn't like it isn't hell already...
