Do not compare the Junkers with the Hogosha. Liberty is not Kusari. Or are the Junkers in the Liberty Government now? Like the Hogosha in Kusari?

The Hogosha are a institution in Kusari. They are respected or feared by a lot of People. They bribe, tax, kill. They are the Mafia. With a seat in the Government. Maybe they are not as powerful as they were when Emporer Kogen was on the Throne but they are still there.

Hm, can you tell me something about the Molly base? Didn't hear something about that case.

Otherwise translated: Way to be a turd.

You fail to realise that most, if not all 'roleplay' on Discovery is typically discussed on PM's, Skype or Steam, whatever your favourite platform is. :>>>

I didn't fail to realise anything, you made an assumption on the meaning of a sentence that you twisted so far away from it's original context as to make no sense whatsoever, or as you say, you were being a turd.

Do you feel all witty now?

Lets analyze my post a little bit.

Quote:The base has extensive RP behind it.
This means that there is a lot of Roleplay in the base's history.

Quote:If you'd like we can have a lengthy Skype chat about everything surrounding it.

This means we (meaning you and I, and anyone else dismissing the fact the base is inrp for that matter.) can have a conversation ON Skype about it, as it is my preferred medium of interaction.

Now, if you want to blame that on miscommunication or simple misunderstanding that's fine. But you should probably read the entire post before assuming things and then seeming like a completely ignorant person OR someone with incredibly bad eyesight/short attention span.

Now back on topic, Ryoken stated that a base could pop up over night and have guns fairly quickly, and would be a problem if placed outside Erie. I'm not sure but if a base like that popped up, and was turned to full hostile, I think admins would intervene as it is attacking the spawn areas.

New Tokyo is a /restart spawn area. Players are consciously making the choice to go there. upon finding their ship under attack (if they made a mistake for example.) they can always redo it and move.

or contact the BDS for formal arrangements.

Now as for the mission parts attacking Hogoshan assets. I would call this a flaw with the vanilla RP.

This isn't Vanilla Freelancer. Stop acting like it is.

I'm not even sure why the QQ about this base is still around, I'd have thought the mature people would have gotten over it already. The trolls had moved on, etc.

Well, I'm sure glad to learn that a mafia based organisation is lawful and allowed to have a base next to the Capitol Planet of a House that fires without warning at the very traders trying to trade with that very same House. The Junkers have a seat on the Bretonian Parliament but I doubt Junkers would be allowed to build a base next to New London that fired upon those trying to trade with Bretonia.

This actually is a bit of a joke.

Because Kusari is different to Bretonia. Thank god not all houses are the same. And the Hogosha base really shoot at all non Kusari traders?

Hogosha are quasi-legal in the game and therefore many traders and other players from other Houses will indeed be red to them. All Houses are not the same but they have similarities and the Junkers and Hogosha share those similarities, such as being quasi-legal entities that are often red to other players. They both have very shady dealings and therefore do not need to bring undue attention to themselves. A base firing on innocent traders would bring such attention to them.

The very fact that base defenses can literally rip through transports and other big ships rather quickly should disbar their use as defense platforms in major arteries of trade between houses. This could be sorted out by moving the base a couple clicks away from the Planet?

True. But Kusari is a special case when it comes to the Hogosha. Like a said in a post before. Don`t know how it`s with the Junkers in Bretonia though.

This could be a solution. Yes.
