Most folk are understanding.

Actually, would that be considered threat of sanction, which conveniently is also against server rules?

Not if the disconnecter makes the proposal completely on their own initiative. It would be wrong for the other party to demand anything else they report, that would be extortion.

I'd just like to add something here, so far I only disconnected two times in the time I spent on the server, both times during a fight, and the thing I didn't like is that first..it was with respected players in the server that fought against me, and second, I was gone for less than one minute and when I came back, both of those people that I fought said "Oh I was just about to report you" and "Oh I was writing a sanction report about you now", that's under a minute or a minute and a half that I was gone. For me, such behavior is frankly..disgusting and idiotic. Give people a chance, I have a fairly good connection and it still happens. But just sticking your finger out and blaming everyone that disappears is not a good thing. Sure some do F1, a lot of them do, but a lot of them also disconnect, why not wait..two minutes? Ten minutes? If the person comes back, talk to the person, if he does not answer and you can see the person playing, he F1ed. If he apologized or something then cut him some slack. As I said, the behavior of our "veterans" in the community here towards this rule is despicable. It can happen that you sometimes sanction someone without him actually doing anything wrong, and its alright, but seriously..give people a chance. They came to play this for fun, not for their free time to be ruined by some over zealous people that haven't developed a sense of moral or sympathy.

Gonna have to agree with Titan, sometimes it is an accident, you don't need to screen everything and report it. Get an explanation or apology for preference and leave it at that. If they are unrepentant then feel free to slap em down. If it;'s an F1 and they don't return with an apology within the timeframe of your fight, then you have a pretty good cahnce they ain't coming back. But if it's a blip, it's a blip. Let it slide.

And I agree....my tower sits on the floor (no other place to put it) and I have size 13w feet....in my work boots, its VERY easy to bump the tower, and everything comes to a frozen halt.Total reboot, which has happened in combat. When i finally get back on, I look for those involved and appoligise and explain situation(I have size 13 feet and my brain is wired for 10 1/2 size...so it sux to be me sometimes).but yeah..10 min should be bare minimum time befor filing paperwork......
