I recently placed a ten-million credit bounty on somebody who was being incessant and invading my Guard system with a Camera ship at Level 30 while verbally harassing me. He came back as a Level 29. My question: are my evil minions still allowed to wail him if there's a bounty on his head?

They can always fly around him making faces and taunting in character. Sometimes it is unfortunate, but underlevels can't be forced into role playing through force. But...

yea - in your own system, you can kill a lvl1 starflier - but out of it, he can taunt you all day long and prolly annoy you by shooting justice mk1 on you all day long - and you can do nothing at all about it. - however, if someone did that, i d consider him mental, cause if thats their idea of "fun" - something is clearly wrong.

Harassment? I at least stayed in RP the entire time. Should my char have been there? He's an adventure thrill seaker who takes photographs. The apprentice to Mike Barret, if you will.

Regardless of my level I have a Civ ID on that ship and can't be engaged. I don't feel like letting random capwhores pound me. Oh, and I dropped a level do to spending a large amounts of bots and bats defending myself from Nomads and...other...things.

I don't have the screenies of the first part of the conversation but to the best of my memory it went like this:

Camera_Man: Mind showing me around this wonderful system of yours?
[IND]Cash_Cow: //Firstly, get out of my system, you shouldn't be there
ICC: //secondly, sure. why not?
CM: something about not wanting to get out
ICC: //get out
CM: As soon as I find the JH, these rocks banged me around a bit.
ICC: //you have the JH mapped, you can't get lost, now get out.
CM: The rocks confused me
...
CM: Ok, I'm out and waiting for you.

Then I went back, grabbed some more screenies, and proceeded to the next planet on my route.

Eppy if you can provide screens that contradict or support my version of the earlier part of the conversation please post them.

Dear lord, and here I thought it was Kindred. David, if you honestly have the time to set up a Camera Ship for the sole purpose of harassing a tired and disgruntled person trying to do their job then you are a very, very sad person, even by Discovery's standards (and we are all, on some levels, fairly sad people). Now I suggest you take some of Joe's advice; now there was some decent political opposition. That was an argument I could respect.

EDIT: Oh, and you decided that apparently you are above OOC communication and that you were 'hopelessly lost'; you didn't leave system until I brought out my Scimitar after parking the train on Beaumont. Oh, and I'd like to know how a Camera Ship manages to maintain a real-time transmission with an IND Transport across the entirety of Sirius and ask said IND transport to show it around a system it would never in a million years bring someone into (indeed, the only reason the IND have access to 85 is because the IND payed for the original GoR), knowing damn well in all actuality that the IND captain would be insane to try and do that? It's not like we don't let people in, all you have to do is ask, but you do NOT go in and enter without our permission. We DO give tours, you know, and we don't even charge for them (donations appreciated; our budget can always use a boost), to research vessels, but no, you felt the need to harass Eppy to no end.

EDIT MK II: How does a Camera ship get into a Guard system without (A) Authorization from the commander or (B) Getting mauled?:)

Pardon the hijack:
What exactly are the official (Admin backed) rules for faction owned systems?

And do the [IND] actually own a system?

Edit: ah I see; 4.3 Factions are free to restrict or not restrict access to their home systems and tax players who enter home system. Access to systems that surround home system must not be restricted unless there's a war with another faction.

Is this faction restriction an Admin enforceable restriction or is it just restriction by use of character force?

Just character force, and no, the IND don't own a system; he's talking about the Outcast Guard system, knowing damn well that I command the faction that owns it; he's looking for a rise, and I'm afraid that I've given him one, but I can still conclude his asininery (is that a word? It should be)

David, if you honestly have the time to set up a Camera Ship for the sole purpose of harassing a tired and disgruntled person
Actually the RP for that Camera Ship has been set up for months. The pilot had just heard rumors about a fabled Outcast system that was absoulutly gorgeous. And he likes to take pictures of pretty things.

Oh, and you decided that apparently you are above OOC communication and that you were 'hopelessly lost'; you didn't leave system until I brought out my Scimitar after parking the train on Beaumont.
actually I was out of the system before you switched, if you notice the background in those transmissions I was in Alpha at the time, and you hadn't swutched yet.

Oh, and I'd like to know how a Camera Ship manages to maintain a real-time transmission with an IND Transport across the entirety of Sirius
How does any ship to ship transmission make it? Since we can't explain it then communication should be banned. No more interacting!!

ask said IND transport to show it around a system it would never in a million years bring someone into (indeed, the only reason the IND have access to 85 is because the IND payed for the original GoR), knowing damn well in all actuality that the IND captain would be insane to try and do that?Well, my pilot knew that IND was friendly with the 66th because of your Sirius wide transmission when you declaired O85 off limits to everybody except your Outcasts and IND.[/quote]

EDIT MK II: How does a Camera ship get into a Guard system without (A) Authorization from the commander
Because JumpHoles can't be locked. As to (B), I told you, I'm sneaky. And yes, they were shooting at me, don't get your panties in a bunch Morgan.

Edit; seems I can't get the Quote system to quite work for me. >.< *attacks keyboard*

Grrrr, *glares at IPB Proboards.*

Number one, you were doing this in your IND char? And then you switched or no? I'm confused. Yes, anyone entering a guard system, regardless of their level, can be attacked.

Now. It's time for the two of you to settle this privately. Enough of the arguing and flamage here. Topic closed.
