My characters tend to be great in certain areas, but weak in others; my main character for example is highly intelligent, well educated, and is probably one of the best xenoarcheologists out there, but he's always lacking the big money he thinks he deserves, megalomanic, unhealthy, relies on a lot of medicaments and a augmented life support system to survive, and has strong paranoia, since he is constantly followed by Kusari government agents (I'm currently writing a RP about his past, just wait a couple of days). Also, he isn't really the best pilot, and when it comes to ground missions, he usually sends in his crew and commands them from the safety of his ship's bridge, unless he is badly needed down there.
Zacarias Poncho could perhaps be defined as a 'super RP', especially when we add Carina in there. Zacarias is extremely smart, and has learned at the feet of the greatest Lane Hackers. He also has the skills of an elite commando. His weakness are women and his own ego and pride (hubris, anyone?). Carina is the most sophisticated AI in Sirius, being perfectly human in a computer. She can hack any database or communication anywhere anytime because she is, quite frankly, faster than any human could ever be, or security system for that reason, while she herself remains unhackable because she is conscious of her defenses and will repel any attempts. The "hack anything" isn't something I abuse, though. Her weaknesses are the fact that she has emotions, and feels them strongly, most of the time not knowing what to do with them. She loves Zacarias as more than her maker, as well.
Jason Moore... not a superRP, methinks. He's the epitome of what an 'action hero' should be, being able to kick ass and take names without trying. However, it comes at a price. He is in a constant struggle for power with a Nomad in his head (more the mind of a Nomad than it's actual body). He also isn't too technically smart (can't hack worth a crap), despite being in the Hellfire Legion, which is technically Hackers.
Giovanni Cordova is in no way a super RP. He's just a good, honorable soldier that despises piracy and exploitation of the weak. He won't attack any enemy with overwhelming force, as his honor disallows him from such, unless they themselves have proven that they are individually honorless swine.
Matt Myers is... DEFINITELY not a super RP. Fat, lazy cop who has charisma out the wazoo and a secret, buried intelligence which he hides beneath layer upon layer of stealth flab.
Wesley might be pushing it. His ship itself is infested with a Nomad Power Cell, which means that the ship is never destroyed, and regenerates itself when idling (aka, the LWB don't have to worry about repairing it). Slowly being twisted to evil by the Nomad tech, Wesley himself is quite shaken at the transformations.
Vic Chonody... nah. Well maybe. I can't explain that one, too much going on.
And now I'm tired of this, bye! I got more chars but they're all minor, I think.
Ivan is a Cadiz born and raised, and leaving his heart out on the front line every day. He's never been far out from Corsair ZoI and he's not interested to either.
Only part of rp that might be considered out of the line is when I joined this server (I was OPG long time before discovery), that fellow corsairs came to "get me a hell out of there" since I had to start at Manhattan. So we said I got imprisoned.
Jericho is a Bretonia gunboat salvaged from scrap by Junkers and rebuilt to join back in the home guard. It's rarely played and thats what adds to it's charm since its a pure rp ship. (hoorah solaris turrets and MKII fighter armor on a gunboat)
Mentira is a Corsair Pirate Transport flown by Ivan. Never been outside the ZoI, rarely been outside OPG ZoI. Ivan is in charge or Mallorca the gunboat as well at those dire times when the corsairs really get invaded.
Veles was a pirate harem ship, but when I found out that you cannot pirate in one, I decided to change the story, and make a band of rather strange outlaws hijack the liner, and sink it in but keeping the ID code. Nothing grand, nothing that affects anyone, and certainly nothing crazy. Each member of the crew has his own motives and at one point, the story will probably continue.
But yeah, blood crazed, infested maniacs and super radiated mutants or drone infested ships aren't my up of tea.
