Crash on startup

Hi guys, hope you can help me. Searching for a solution for about 3 hrs also on this forum and countless others.

- starting game with provided shortcut
- blinking screen appears with green text in top left corner
- mod loading screen
- game crashes back to desktop with music looping for about 10 seconds
- "Freelancer stopped working..."

Windows 7 x64 SP1 with up to date drivers

- deleted old savegames
- FLSpew.txt attached
- reinstalled (mod and game) twice


Thank you guys in advance! I really want to play your mod...


edit: tried to start normal freelancer but it crashes the same way so I guess it's not about your mod but if you got any hint...

Are you running anything else when trying to start up like TeamSpeak with overlay turned on?

I had a similar problem back when I was using XP. The crux of the matter was *NOT* to use the admin-account.

I did grant and revoke the user-account's admin rights several times in order to install needed programs properly. But well FL worked and when I upgraded go Win 7 I did the same thing.

I may have the solution to those pesky Crash To Desktop problems ; use windowed mode !

1. start the game
2. when the opening screen is there ; switch to windowed mode with alt-enter
3. then select server and chose your character

This worked for me very well. Please try and post here if it also helps for you.
