With the socialite missing from the table, it was left to Willis, Mr Anti-social to carry on the conversation. He paused for a moment to find something to distract himself. A quick glance at his PDA, then across the room and then back to Ian.
"So..." Willis began, pretending he had an enormus itch behined his neck, "You must have seen some action, anything interesting happen recently?"
He watched the girl moving to the bar and then glanced at Willis, who seemed to think what to say next. As he then asked his question, Ian shook his own hand like wanting to say "eventually".
"Nothing new yet. There are several things happening in Liberty. But none, that are new to me. Let's say...if you ignore the daily activity of the pirates around here, it's not interesting at all...if you are ready to let your life being threatened to help others..."
He almost sounded sarcastic by wearing a serious expression but shrugged in the end and slightly smiled to himself.
She nodded, "Fair enough. Still one of the better joints to drink at." She wiped her hand on her jeans again. The grease was engrained in her skin so it wouldn't come off without a lot of scrubbing, oblivious to this fact - she did it anyway. Amanda then took his hand and shook it "I'm Amanda." She glanced over towards the table that the boys were sitting at, seeing them talking she grinned 'Maybe he isn't so anti-social after all, good to see him actually talking to someone.' She looked at Evan, noticing something on his wrist. Raising an eyebrow when she realised it was humming. "Well ain't that something...." She laughed. "What is it?"
"What is it?" "Ah, this thing," Evan replied, holding the device up and thinking for a second of how to word it without being too techincal. "Its a wrist-computer, for the most part. 100% actual computer with some nano-tech, holographic interface system as well. Still haven't adjusted it to connect to the Neural Net but it can be used for basic communications or software."
Another 3-dimensional holographic shape appeared above it, quickly forming into a human face which began cycling through various expressions before disappearing. "It's uh, currently testing the holo-display and a new... interface of sorts. Used to just project a keyboard, but I've been modifying it to produce more complex stuff. The screen can be used for video communications, but if I can get it to work through the holograms..." Evan trailed off, wondering if he'd sounded too nerdy, but deciding to admit it with a shrug. "Tech stuff is a bit of a hobby of mine. I don't get much time for it with work though."

"Its a wrist-computer, for the most part. 100% actual computer with some nano-tech, holographic interface system as well." She nodded and looked at it with interest.'Thats pretty cool' She started thinking about uses for something like that, it would be helpful for some of the ship upgrades. Amanda grinned, probably wouldn't get mass produced for a while, like her 'inventions'.
"Tech stuff is a bit of a hobby of mine. I don't get much time for it with work though." "I know what you mean, I prefer mechanics and making things go myself, tech stuff kinda bored me in class." The bartender bought the drinks over to Amanda, she paid and picked them up awkwardly to carry them back to the table 'Another reason humans need 3 damn hands'.
"Join us if you want, We just over there, chatting." She nodded in the direction of the table, and walked toward it, trying not to spill the drinks and still thinking about the devise she just saw. The amount of work, the detail involved in it, I wonder how long it has taken him to get it that far?'
Evan watched as Amanda awkwardly grapped her drinks to carry them back to her table as the bartender also handed over another glass, taking Evan's money and returning to whatever beverages he was unpacking.
"Join us if you want, We just over there, chatting." hm... eh, why not. Evan thought, watching her trying to carry the drinks. "Sure thing. You uh, need a hand with those?"

He glanced at Amanda as she walked back to them with the three drinks. He stood up and helped her putting those on the table. He would nod at the new guy, who would walk towards them as well. He looked at the drinks and nodded at Amanda with a smile.
A man entered the bar, accompanied by two soldiers, one that could easily be identified as a soldier of the primary fleet, the other one unknown to anyone aside of someone that fought in Leeds or was a member of the primary fleet, or why not even a Gallic himself.
He approached the table where Ian Johnson was.
"Well well... Bonjour Monsieur Johnson. I see you have some nice company here."
Surprised by the new company, he looked at the man with a frown at first. He didn't know at all who would be that guy. When his frown finally faded away, he stood up and nodded at the man, reaching out his hand for a handshake. At what the man said, Ian looked back at Willis and Amanda, then back at the man with the two escorts, wearing a slight smile.
"Yeah. They are nice...it's fun to spend the free time here with them....good evening."
He added in the end, still wondering why those two guards were there.
