I give you one then:

Corsairs are the only faction that has lvl 10 gun for sale... so that's one non-balance point
And it's a shield buster........ that's another one

As I already wrote I would remove only the colada.

With the current energy requirements of both tizona del cid and coloda believe me, they are already not too advantageous on the battlefield. I think their energy requirements need to be decreased to a reasonable level.

believe me i would rather have the inferno outcast shield buster than the colada, if your going to take that out take the inferno aswell!.



Voted no btw, shield busters are part of FL, and verity is the spice of life!

Igiss already said he will be changing the energy requirement for Tizona/Colada and Inferno in the next beta.


And yes Colada is an advantage... 2 Tizonas are mostly overkill ... so you equip 1 Colada instead.


Another thing is the above mentioned bomber with 4 Coladas - not so much problem with the energy use there.

If you try to fight some small and agile GB with 4 Coladas + Supernova or 4 non-shieldbusters and Supernova you'll see the difference. Without shield busters the shield just keeps comming up before you recharge the supernova. Not even mentioning what happens when you miss with the supernova just once.

Would not the gunboats be even more deadly then if we remove the coloda? Lawfuls could use the adv debs instead of the coloda and efficiency the adv debs provide is not too underhanded on the scale. The gunboats are already too overpowered atm in my opinion and their cerberus turrets' energy requirements need to be tweaked as well. Sorry to have strayed off topic with the last 2 posts btw..

Why don't we just give houses shield busters as well? None will be as good as the Coladas/Tizonas, but they could be made differently. Different speeds, to stay in alignment with that house's weaponry. Also, different damage types. Corsair Tizonas work best againts Graviton. So we make a house's good against one of the other types. You give them the shield buster that works best against their main enemy's NPC patrol's shields. Not home atm, so I can't get exact NPC factions and weapon/shield types to use as examples.

I DON'T think they need taken out completely though.

I completely agree with Dab here.
shield-busters provide fighters with a chance against cap-ships if they work together. Without them... not so much.

I agree with dab. That the fighter need a chance to fight and without the shield busters their dead in the water. Some compromise is needed don't you think?

I really like Dab's suggestion. Regardless, I don't think that removing all shieldbusters is the way to go.

Yeah I also agree with Dab, originally I thought just making Adv Debs available to far more factions was the way to go. But House specific sheild weapons tuned to match the other House guns and the enemies they face is by far a better idea.
