What good are new options, if the server is not playable?

They're called bugs you ungrateful little man, they'll be fixed just like the last thousand bugs.

If you don't want them, hire a full development and QA team.

On topic, I haven't had any extra lag or any crashes in the last 30 minutes

initiated a 25 minute session with a server load of 175 ish .. i actually found npcs esier to kill..

Oddly with vary little rubber banding. Im in the west coast US so its a nice treat. ping hike seemed to not matter vs the performance i usually get. So.. i guess ill have to see if there a more favorable trend over several sessions.

My ping has gone down a tad - at peak server time, i usually get about 205+ - its now 195ms

Tested. Same lag, if any. Only difference I noticed is that my ping got higher. Normaly I have 23-25. Now I have
26-28.

When A&L Guy was hosting: 36 ping, 0 jitter, 0~2% loss, 0~1% lag
NOW: 64~183 ping, 0 jitter, constant 0~12% loss, constant 1~17% lag

my lag hasnt been very high, have noticed the increase in NPC's, but dependin on my character i enjoy the increase. Only think ive rly noticed are the repeated server downs, lost my ore once on it, but then it happened again and i was right where i left off good to go. seems quite random, just a few bugs is all. im sure u guys are on top of it

I had a little bit of NPC warping and some loss. It may have been my connection. My ping was stable it its normal 220.

Definitely more lag for me. Normally the server list shows about 250 ping for me here (west coast US). Right now, I'm seeing over 1000 ping, can't get on, and even the forums are running slow. For reference, Discovery USA is showing its normal ping, which is about 110 for me.

Then again, Discovery of Discovery is also showing higher ping than normal as well (between 600 and 1000) and the forums were running fine earlier tonight.

Here's hoping it irons itself out by morning...

EDIT: Yep, it has ironed itself out. Ping has improved slightly from my previous norm, but in game I'm seeing more instances of ships with jerky flight patterns, particularly at a distance.
