I regret to inform you all that I will be resigning from the RHA.

The shared account I set up is now the full property of the RHA, my account with my personal RHA Gunboat is also now the property of the RHA (ID will be forwarded to Morgan)

The fighters in which I own on the Shared capital ship account are to be dismantled and the parts divided amongst the members in order to equip their vessels.

My reasons for leaving the RHA are simple, I have been extremely inactive as of late and when I do have the time and patience to play freelancer, it is ruined by rules that govern nearly every single aspect of play while on discovery. Due to that and the short amount of time I am available to play, and will see you all later.

I have spent the past few months struggling to wrap my mind around the realities of my new existance, but now my thoughts are finally bringing me to one conclusion. The Rhineland governent is no longer the strong entity that I grew up under. It has been weakened and corrupted by the conflicting and detrimental interests of the wealthy elite. It can no longer offer it's citizens adequate protection from the scourges of this galaxy.

The moment of truth that filled my mind with these thoughts was our trip to the outskirts of Frankfurt. We were near the Sigma-13 border when our transport was attacked by a group of marauding Corsairs. Our transport was quickly overwhelmed as we rushed to the escape pods. I was seperated from my family and ended up launching out into space surrounded by complete strangers. From the viewport at the bottom of the pod we could see the transport venting atmosphere from the rear passenger quarters and a pirate freighter next to the bridge, its boarding claw extended. As we drifted away from the dying transport, the Corsairs began to leave. We were all thinking of how lucky we were to have survived, when two of the Corsair ships turned their weapons on our group of esape pods. Out of the 15 pods, 6 were completely vaporized. It was only when a passing liner tractored our pods into its hold that my worst fears were realized. My wife and 2 year-old son were not among the survivors. Unfortunately, this ordeal did not end here.

I was shocked to learn that the Rhineland government ordered no investigation into the loss of the transport, and would make no effort to bring to justice those Corsairs responsible. There were rumors that the Corsair's objective was proprietary information regarding weapons designs from one of the premier manufacturers in Rhineland space. I hired an agent to look into this rumor, and it was confirmed. A wealthy investor in the weapons factory used his influence to quash the news of the raid and stifle any inquiries regarding the matter.

I have made little progress finding the identities and whereabouts of those Corsairs that ripped my life apart, but I promise them this: I will never stop hunting them. If my country will not take steps to prevent tragedies such as this, then it is up to us to defend ourselves, both from our outside enemies and those within.

Recruitment System Update

Where are all the Hessians? I cannot but wonder...regardless, this outdated terminal is in dire need of an information update.

First of all, the numbers. Due to the cost of outfitting the under-armed flagship, we currently have enough funds for three new rekruts; or five, if the funds are rationed. Our smugglers are working overtime to rectify this shortage, so prospective rekruts will be assured access to the funds and equipment they need to fight our enemies.

Second, the numbers having to do with slightly more "liquid" assets...pilots. We are short on pilots; in fact, it is reaching the point of emergency. The Hessians are strong, but the RHA lately is not. So many of the other Hessians are nothing more than pirates...many of our brothers and sisters have lost sight of our cause: to slip free the corporate noose from the neck of our beloved Fatherland.

Yes, the noose is tightening every day; and there are many who are kicking at the stool beneath the Fatherland's feet. Kruger, Daumann, Republican Shipping, the delusional Kanzler-worshiping Rheinland Military, and the bloodthirsty Corsairs. The noose is tightening...and the battered wooden stool is us. With our current lack of numbers, all we are doing is holding off the inevitable.

The inevitable...which is only inevitable so long as we fail to do our duty. The duty the first Hessians took upon themselves 116 years ago, when the leaders of the Popular Revolution betrayed their own ideals to allow Kruger and Daumann to continue their stranglehold on Rheinland...

Make no mistake; our struggle is not likely to end soon. The Sirius in which we live is not the same as it was 116 years ago...it is more complex, and in many ways, even more dangerous. But we will not falter, nor will we fail, so long as there is one man or woman in Rheinland with the heart of a Hessian.

The egineers fixed most of all the problems of my ship and I've done the first test run today and the engines are still not working. When the engineers have fixed that I will be back in full duty. I was pleased to see that even the most simple hessian was ready to protect our bases against any enemys. Folks, our brothers are fighting as best as they could, but it's just a question of the time if the enemy will break trough our defences. The RHA must grow up again, or we're going to lose everything our brothers have worked for!
Only a trained and well-armed force of hessians is able to protect us against the rheinland military and the corsairs. I will do my best to secure the future of all hessians even if I have to die for this!

The Varyag has been actively conducting sorties against RM, their supporters, and the Corsairs during the past few months. We are based out of Dresden and are ready to assist in any way possible. Our gunners have been rearmed in the past few days at Malta with shining new outcast turrets and are anxious to use them.

Backround: Matt Black was born in Omega 7 system, on Freistadt base to an IMG warehousman Kane Black and his wife, Anna Black who's an accounter for IMG. Only recently becoming IMG employee, Kane Black used work in Elbich mining facility some time ago. Due to hard conditions for such imigrants he supported Red Hessians movement for some time.

Although born on Freistadt, Matt was raised outside the station, spending most of his time in space and not for his own entertainment, but due to forced circumstances. Being a good son, strong person and somewhat of a family man, Matt used to act as support for his father in solving various matters. However, he rather relied on his own acquaintances, always acting deviously and on his own. Matt, unlike his brother Simon, prefered action over faith and spent a lot of time away on his doings.

He has been in contact with the Red Hessians for 5 years now, since meeting his ex mediator B.Olsen on Freistadt docks.

It was Matt, who helped to organise the trip to Omega 7 for his father to visit Red Hessians and more importantly bargaining a departure for him after Kane announced that he does not wish to do anything with bloodlust pirates with "degenerated idealism".

It wasnt the case for Matt whatsoever. Although being an examplary son, Matt was always untalkative about his personal life, silent and remote in a way. His personality was starting to show its darker side since deeper connections with the Red Hessians those 5 years ago. To such a cold mannered man as Matt no methods seemed inappropiorate against the greater evil, the oppresors of Rheiland.

He could realize himself among the Red Hessians, whom he joined fully a year ago by forshaking his family to go after a more noble purpose. His parents were schocked about his decision as no one would expect something like that from such a good and obedient son. However, Matt still maintained link to his family, lending a hand in times of need.
