Writing isn't the only way she can prove herself.

The Dab vs Lancer conflict seems to have died away now. Let's get back to battleships. So far I've found out that the Mars Flyer turret is the best one around. I've got two problems with the turret. Firstly, the sound effect (like all other sound effects in Discovery) is... cheesy. If Igiss wants, I could start working on better SFX. Second, there's no turret model. The shot just comes out of the ship's hull. 0_o

As for the Mars Flyer model... I don't know what to say. We need to hire some FL modellers/skinners. =/

Discovery is a great mod. It has perfect balance, and an awesome community. The only thing that's holding it back (in my opinion) would be the low quality of the new content.

I believe I told you already..... If the Marsflyer turret had a model, it would make the Marsflyer itself look wierd....

Though, the SFX should still match the ship if you plan on changing them. In my personal opinion, I think the SFX match the Movie, like they should.

Then why not remove the Mars Flyer, and give its attributes to another ship? The only thing we'd be losing is the ship itself, which doesn't really matter as long as the attributes are still there. Why even use ships from sci-fi movies? The Mars Flyer doesn't even fit into the FL universe.

They're new ships, yet they fit into the FL universe seamlessly. It's almost professional. While the Mars Flyer may appeal to you, it still makes the mod look amateur-ish, which isn't a good impression at all.

I don't know... this just isn't the same Discovery I'm used to. The only reason this mod appealed to me was because it was the closest to vanilla FL, yet it had unlocked new ships and focused on balancing the game instead of adding tons of new content. I've got my eyes on Evolution again... but I just don't want to leave this server again. =/
