This will most likely solve all your game, connection... and other problems.

Go to Start->Control Panel->User Accounts->find "Turn User Account Control On or Off" and switch it off.

I've been shot several times on these forums for my pronounced love of Vista. You just gotta know how to tweak it and how to use it and its great. But, yes I have had my share of pains in the a** with it.

So much for supposedly being the most user friendly OS out there. It is more like idiot who doesn't want to do anything more than surf the web email and use word friendly. Does Vista have an expert mode...i would like that as a way to get around all the dummy proof stuff.

I bought a program when i got vista called Tweak Vista. and my vista machine runs like XP.. i believe theres a trial out there

Hey Tic... I am currently facing the problem where I am allowed to join the Global Server but I could not join any of the servers listed..

I initially thought that I am having problems connecting to my friend's discovery mod server but somehow I am also facing the same problems with other servers as well.. Could you please post a full step by step guide to help me solve the problem in which I am currently facing?

Note: I couldn't even use FLMM to activate the discovery mod prior to any event of me playing the game so I simply paste the discovery mod from my old comp to this new one which is a vista.. Please help me.. Thanks =)

1. Run FLMM as an Admin, then it will activate.
2. Run Freelancer with compatibility set to Windows XP.
3. If you have Norton/McAfee, get rid of it.
4. Make sure you have Windows Firewall and Windows Defender off.
