Hispania House

From the survivors of the Hispania sleeper ship, two factions emerge, and both criminal.

But, i cant believe that only criminals survived. I'm sure there are also good ppl, that dont want a live of crime.

So, if u are Outcast or Corsair, and want to break with crime live style, or if u are alone trying to find your place, lets see if we have enough ppl, to create the first Hispania lawful faction, and maybe one day we can create the Hispania oficial house.

Well the thought is not bad, but oyu must imagine that both factions lived for centuries like they do. Their way of live is connected to their culture and indeed they dont really think they are the "bad boys". Thus I would not really understand why an Outcast or Corsair should leave their collectives, even if I would be open for something like that...if somebody could find a good reason

It is not who they are, but how they must live. Both of those factions happened to be the last ones into Sirius sectors thus having to take outskirts. Those outskirts were poor in natural resources, thus to survive, they had to go robbing. Later, OC got ahold of Cardamine, Corsairs - of Artifacts. Thos commodities gave extra income, but not enough to stop robbing. So. Ye.

They do it for survival and they speak of themselves as lawfulls in their own space. They don't care some of their actions may appear unlawfull in some other place.

Down in Empire space, Corsairs are not only lawful, we ARE the law.
It's everyone else that isn't.
The Corsairs are a House. Just that no-one outside it accepts it as such...but will educate them, eventually!
We are a peace loving nation but no-one thinks of us that way so we must defend ourselves against <strike>you dogs</strike> almost all the other peoples of Sirius. Especially those pesky unlawful bad outcasts.

All Corsairs believe that one day, we will create a fully recognised 'house' system, populated by the vassel states of Bretonia, Rheinland, Liberty etc. All we ever wanted was a peace that would last and we believe under a strong <strike>boot</strike> hand...like ours, Sirius will become a better, *nicer* place, unless your outcast of course.

I hope that puts your mind to rest amigo.

imagine you have a lovely house, with a lovely wife, and 2 young kids, who will, in future do what you do now. they will feed their family. they live their family life and have friends in the neighborhood. each saturday, they meet with their good long-life friends and have a nice chat about how was work and to give each other some tips and pass on some gossip about whoever they dont like - the 'other neighbor', who is noisy during nights with his nocturnal roshamboo, the current people in lead of their local municipality/area. they go to bars on occasion to have a drink. the kids go to schools. everyone is happy.

just you go to an office and they go to space to get food. then you meed an evil hessian who wants to expand to your space and steal your land. one system further, you have a rheinland patrol, flying around a planet full of food they will never sell to you, but you need that food so much to feed your starving kids. so you ambush a transport with some friends and take what containers are left unharmed. after that - you better step on it, because those evil rheinlanders will be on your back.

you get home, kids are eating and their faces look like faces of the rheinlander's kids on weinachten.

dont you want to make them happy? dont you want your blood to stand strong?

Corsairs are not space Mexicans.
Any future "Mexicans" aboard the sleepers would be much more likely to be aboard the Liberty.
