Even if flying alone into a hostile territory, dodging and bot farming when the military arrives then using a 21st century internet slang term to summarize the purpose of your actions is indeed your character's role play, that is not exactly what I see an intelligence organization's purpose should be.

Again, very good point. But my char's roleplay isn't exactly cannon....
And I did say that, but it doesn't mean that it was the real reaso I was there. You cannot honestly expect me to tell you why I was there, not IRP at least.....

DIT: Also, farming NPCs to gain an advantage in battle may be an "in-RP" action, but so is ganking, bot sharing between caps and fighters, ramming and the list goes on. There is a certain level of common understanding and sympathy between opposing forces, which is why people don't conduct such actions among normal circumstances. Certainly, you can justify a lot of things with the term "hey, it's just role play", but imo if you know it would just piss people off, in reality, you shouldn't be doing it.

Take note that I am not trying to troll here, but I want to offer genuine advice as someone who wishes to interact with the LSF on his characters in a more meaningful and serious way. I apologise in advance if any of this may sound harsh, but I just want to make a point. If you feel insulted, be assured that was not my intention.

I want to propose to the leadership of the LSF to take a long and detailed look at how KPT is running itself at the moment (last week's RP surrounding the tension between Liberty and Kusari especially), both forum RP and ingame performance - and adapt as much of that for yourself as possible. LSF should become a serious intelligence force that extends its operations to all the houses around it for the benefit of house Liberty. Fly actual undercover ships in hostile territory (Freelancer ID, not LSF so that people can't metagame it) and record operations. Be extremely competent.

We do have some undercover ships. Though, those who do are the busiest players and sometimes end up lacking the time needed to fill a recon report. Also, admittedly, I've not followed KPT's RP in the late days. Kusari has never been my thing. Even though the vistas are beautiful.

A member of your high command flying with =LSF= tag in the middle of Kyushu and getting captured then killed is kind of... well, ridiculous. You need to mix overt actions with covert ones, I think I speak for the members of any and all politically charged groups in Sirius when I say that a well pulled off intelligence - counter-intelligence type conflict would be absolutely brilliant, but everyone has to be playing ball on at least a similar level. When I fly my politically charged (which most of them are) anti-Liberty/anti-Rheinland characters, I want to be afraid of LSF spies. I don't want to know at first sight that they are here and have everyone disregard them anyway because they are just ineffective. And no, I don't mean in PvP.

So if I understand, you want us to be more mean, darker. That can be done. Though, it's more on an individual level. As for Wolfe, that was simply unplanned, and does not represent the faction mindset.

And it's not just that: imagine how many RP situations you will create by delivering unique intelligence to the leadership of Liberty. I am sure you can find out an angle on how to get the revolutionaries of Rheinland to work with you or how to get Kusari to slow down their progress in Bretonia by creating diversions behind the lines, or how to accurately predict the strength of the incoming Gallia invasion which they announced months ago. Think 10 steps ahead, entangle yourself in various spy conspiracies and make the politics between the houses as interesting as they should be.

Rheinland: We, in the past, had the idea to develop ties with local criminals... Alas, most criminals in Rheinland have decided to take an Ultra-nationalistic path. It's not like in Liberty where Rogues (example) could develop ties with RM if they wanted to. Our only nationalist group is Xeno.
Kusari: Since our relations are going upside down, and Bretonians are getting their back handed over, yes. It is something that we are starting to consider.
Gallia: That's a tricky one to me since there is a minefield and naval bases on each ends of their space. So entering without raising alarm seems unfeasible in-RP. Although, now that they are open to trading (something I don't understand at all), I guess some undercover could go there and recon.

I hope this will give you some motivation to beat yourself into the most efficient intelligence agency in Sirius. You have a duty to be excellent. And yes I know you all have lives, I'm not asking you to be online more, and I'm not telling you "ur rp sucks". I'm asking you to take a second look at how you do stuff overall, maybe you can do some of those things more effectively both gameplay and RP wise, and it will attract more interest to the faction and spying in general. LSF is one of the most active factions on the server. It should honestly be far more awe inspiring.

Atm, that's the problem, our lives. Leadership members and those immediately beneath are extremely busy at the moment. Still, next week I should be less busy and probably more active.

Not so much feedback as I wanted to mention; Ever since the small little mistake one of the Ageira| Members made going to Ellesmere, and the resulting inRP thread (which honestly put the knife to your own throats, complaining about someone going through a system that supposedly doesn't even exist), I've always been meaning to kick up some rivalry between the LSF and Ageira.

Ageira is rather shady, at least the way i'm pushing them. Not shady in that we have lots of criminal dealings, but shady in that we're very secretive, and somewhat arrogant in our technological superiority.

We also know a lot. Probably some things the LSF rather we didn't. That, and the fact that the LSF supposedly develops it's own tech, opens up some great chances for In-House rivalry... Animosity between Ageira and the LSF can only mean more excitement.

Don't -really- have a huge point, just thought I'd get it out there.

Well, <strike>Vlad</strike> Nadya, LSF around here is doing the same work as Kempetai or even the Unseresomethingflotte people before - it's generally fine for the intelligence faction to raid the heartland of the enemy, especially, if the heartland is the mining spot, therefore is important for the economy and therefore the war machine of the enemy.

If you think his use of the sun corona is ooRP, why did you follow him there? If it is ooRP to fly a fighter into said area, why did you do so? Very hypocritical of you to do exactly what he was doing chasing a blue message and then come here and complain that it was ooRP.

I hadn't said that fight in sun corona is out of roleplay. In Omega-11 it's pretty much a valid move to use the radiation for one's pleasure and the sun corona there has the proper damage output for the dying sun. I don't really get what are you trying to say here, to be honest. That guy was given all the chances he could get deep in the enemy space, though, he had chosen to suicide. Not to use the corona to retreat, but to jump there with dramatically low hull points left.
