Or have we reached the point now that ingame actions should in no way confirm with lore?

After you tell your indies to stop raiding Stuttgart or Leeds. This is my last response to a post regarding server gameplay in this thread. Make a new thread if you want to discuss this.

It's actually funny how these QQthreads always end up with same people saying the same thing... It's getting rather old and boring, don't you think? The general level of hypocrisy on Corsair players who join these sort of discussions is also entertaining, to say the least.

It generally seems like the Corsairs are too tired of having every single faction in the region shooting them, but instead of actually trying to figure out the reason, they decide to blame everyone else, which's always the easiest solution.

Comments like this:

if you would save your faction, start a war with the mollies, and give yourself more enemies, not alliances.

Clearly shows the main issue with Corsair playerbase, because the exact opposite can be said about Corsairs. You're complaining about an 'unholy alliance' camping Crete 24/7 and what you do in return is to declare war on the only faction in the area who's not hostile to you... Twice.

Maybe instead of trying to make as many enemies as possible, you should try working an InRp cease fire with at least one of the groups who camps Crete, and maybe encourage one of your very few allies to come help you or cover your back... Just to make your own lifes a tad easier. Hm?

You're using the lore as an excuse to condemn Hessians or anyone else from raiding Gamma, while in practice you don't have the least of respect toward the lore. If Corsair official factions cared about the lore sooo much that they cried 'ooRp' every time a hostile entered Gamma, they for sure would've done at least something other than camping Crete/o91.

You don't like the Gamma raids? Ok. You think it's ooRp? Ok. Have you ever tried bringing the o5 battlefield back to life? No? Guessed so.

Issue with Corsair player base - or at least their head figures - for a long time have been nothing but taking any sort of hostility to an ooRp level, while the opposite side is just reclining and laughing at their desperate rages and flames. If you cared even one bit about the lore and could distinguish InRp hostilities from ooRp ones, you would've tried your best to approach the leaders of opposite factions to arrange weekly/biweekly events in the battlefields defined by lore.

I've been in RHA for a long time now, and every time I was leading a raid on Gamma and there was a higher ranking member of one of the official Corsair factions online, I always told our group to wait at Ronneburg while I tried PMing said person to see if they're up for some Hammen Hole action... Surprisingly enough, every single one of my PMs got ignored and the only time we did manage to gather people in o5 and have a decent furball was thanks to a member of Black Sails. Kudos to them like always.

Now tell me who's to blame here.
And maybe, just maybe, instead of crying so hard you should try restarting something like this.

Sorry for intruding in your argument like this, but isn't it a bit silly to say "people who play this faction are generally bad"?

And if you don't want Corsairs to raid house systems like Stuttgart, or Outcasts raiding New York, then why don't you ask devs adn admins to just make it more difficult for them to get there? For example by not allowing people to use lanes and gates which are hostile to them. Or setting repninja reputations to negative neutral so they can't dock in so many places there?

Repeating these "YOU CANT DO THAT ALTHOUGH ME AND MY BUDDIES SHOULD BE ALLOWED TO" arguments over and over is kinda silly. Everything that can be exploited will be exploited. Rellying on your ability to yell at people for doing stuff that they are allowed to do leaves you with situations like these.

On a sidenote, the zonerzonerzoner was not done by a playerbase of a certain faction, but rather by certain individuals, who did it across a lot of factions. If you wanna criticize that, criticize the people who actually did that, and don't pretend it was the playerbase of a certain faction, because it wasn't.

The fact that this turned into an argument about "my faction is better than your faction" player argument is kinda sad.

I have no idea where you got that from. As far as I can tell the Corsairs just settled there after the Zoners revealed to them the location of the planet, and that was that. Source please?

Conjecture, and a degree of bias. Player RP means nothing in terms of what the mod content actually says. If it did mean something, then I could RP that since the Hessians killed all Corsairs in orbit of Crete a few weeks ago, "that means we are winning".

If it didn't impact on peoples fun, it would be funny. The alliance you mentioned is not necessarily between factions and you know it. It's the players which is possibly why your name gets mentioned so much. I mean, come on, don't even try to pretend that isn't true. That entire post is littered with conjecture and fabrication. Falling back on the 'Trolling' insult as well was pretty poor especially as your arguments just don't hold up under scrutiny.

So Blodo, just which Corsair faction do you have all this influence over or the 'inside line'...or do you have some more sinister connections?
Maybe you're a dev which might explain a few things I suppose.
Bearing in mind that some factionalised 'senior' Corsairs have posted here and your views contradict theirs, I am at a loss as to where you get your information from.

Why do you think the corsairs on GC are interested in the riches of Dublin, rather than say, the food on GC for example?
I would suggest your 'conjecture' is ill aimed. It is the food on GC that are the riches that attracted them there but once more, it suits your machinations to claim otherwise. I wouldn't be surprised however to see rumors popping up soon now to contradict that last statement.
As for "a few rumors", the entire population of Sirus knows a rumor that is available on Crete about an act of Cannibalism when the corsairs first arrived in Sirius. Now the most popular RP name for a corsair is Cannibal. Rumor and conjecture seem your stock in trade I would suggest, not mine. Whats good for the goose is good for the gander no?
With that in mind and you agreeing that Corsairs have settled on GC, I see no logic behind the outlandish claims that the Hessians outnumber the corsairs in the Omegas.

Server gameplay means absolutely nada. Even if RHA camped the Crete docking ring every day and blasted all Corsairs that undocked, it would still not provide a basis for server pvp to have any impact on mod lore. And this goes both ways.

Finally a good ideology but is it yours?
I'd have to question the idea anyway sadly. As has been said numerous times before, it's not what you know but who.

The RM might be interested to hear about that one regarding a certain battleship in Hamburg then.
As for factions being dragged into the mess that is Corsair/Outcast relations, I'm not really sure the Corsairs want any of them particularly and I can't help but think the Outcasts are slowly coming to the same conclusion.
