If you've got a Liberty Dreadnought, post your weapon configuration here. I've got no idea as to which turrets I should buy for my BS. Back when Discovery was still at 4.75, the best configuration was 6 Osiris energy turrets, and 2 Dreadnought missile turrets. Osiris turrets are probably obsolete now.

My ship is optimised for fighter killing, I have seven solaris turrets, and three Liberty missile turrets, it does the job, but marsflyer turrets could do better...

Are you guys thinking the Osiris config? Because the Osiris has 8 slots but the Lib Dread has 10 or 12 but you guys are only posting that you have 8 guns. My Dreadnaught has I think 8 Osiris guns, 2 BS missile turrets, and I think thats all. If it has 12 slots then I have 10 Osiris guns. I try to stick with havin real capital class guns on a capital-class ship. I don't use the cheap way of using fighter guns on a battleship.
Personally I think we should ban the use of fighter guns on all cap-ships except gunboats and the Huegenot.
No I posted I had ten guns lol, and as for my weaponry, it's designed as a light patrol ship...intended to transfer cargo, such as vip's passengers and prisoners to my flagship - it's a roleplay thing...oh...and it hunts nomads...Usually patrols in Delta, killing anything big and blue...

And an anti-fighter ship.
I had a huegenot with the load-out of 14 missile turrets and it wouldn't even damage a cruiser shield. Something that needs fixed in the next version maybe? My ship should pack at least as much damage as a cruiser's 6 or so turrets not counting the forward gun.
On-topic: I would suggest 6 Osiris turrets, 2 missile turrets, and 2 of the new Tizona turrets for a new dreadnaught. That is if we ban the use of fighter weaponry other than Tizona turrets from the battleships and cruisers. Something that needs done as BS weaponry should be the strongest and not overpowered by a fighter's stock guns.

Agreed, I now think that bs turret damage is a bit pathetic, they're too weak. They should do loads more damage than fighter guns.

Yes, i think the BS`s should not be made for "tuning" them. Keep them officially, with their stock guns, maby take guns from another *BS* not fighter :(
If you want to stop people using fighter turrets you'd probably (not to sure) have to make the BS turrets unmountable.
At the moment most codename weps do similar damage as Cap-ship turrets but don't use half as much energy. Personally cap-ship turrets should be more powerful then codename weps.
Has anyone noticed that most VHF's have class 10 turret mounts but there are no class 10 turrets in the original game.

Personally if I had a liberty dread I'd have 2 or 3 Britonia BS missile turrets and mount nomad guns on the rest. Yes nomad turrets refire's are bad, but they do more damage then any other BS turret. On the plus side the low refire means you can keep firing for longer.
