I'd watch your tongue, speaking ill of royalty is an act of treason.

Gerald grinned and sipped his coffee. It was always good to make sure people remembered to hold their remarks while in public. He really didn't care for those fat, snobbish, royal arses prancing around commanding anything that was simply handed to them. But of course, he would never say that.

I dislike it for it is simply... drilling. It pops up as you say, half sanctioned by the Crown, and begin spy work. I've never heard a spy suddenly half working for a house without processing to see if they are loyal. My only thoughts are give them something easy to begin with, maybe make it larger than they think. Perhaps make it so we gain something from them anyways, make out net profit higher. I'm just throwing out stuff right now, my coffee has ran dry.

Snapping his fingers in the air, a waitress quickly came by with a gold plated pitcher, ornate engravings of a mighty battle and fleur de lis covering half of the container. Once poured, the waitress placed the pitcher on the table and left. He looked at the thing with disgust, but didn't go to move it.

[font=Times New Roman][color=#FFFFFF]"Believe me Directeur, I think I know as well as you what will, and will not get me killed. You're talking to someone who enforces these laws himself."

"A bit hypocritical, I know. Back to Madison and Leonardo Logistics or whatever the hell it's calling itself though. While I understand you're trying to think cautiously, why start them off doing something small to earn their trust, and gradually increase the importance of their operations, when we can simply put them into a larger situation where we have the upper hand?"

[color=#000000]He reached for the pitcher to get something to drink, but decided to hold off his thirst when he remembered how much the Directeur enjoyed his coffee.

"You don't mind if I pour myself a cup, do you Directeur?"

He throws the lid back over the pitcher and keeps his hands there.

Sorry, but not from this. This was given to me by the King himself during a formal meeting for the advancement of Gallia. I'm not suppose to let others drink from it, for it gives the impression I don't properly control the power I was given, or something to that matter. I hope you don't mind, but I'd like to keep my head on my shoulders.

In truth, he really didn't want Leon to have any of the coffee. It would be disastrous if he were to drink it.

Here, he calls for a large cup of coffee to be brought over, That should fix that. Now back to business. I like your thinking. As long as we come out looking heroic and just, we should be fine. I wouldn't mind if they end up being loyal, or if they get stoned to death. We have ourselves and Gallia to think of.

[font=Times New Roman][color=#FFFFFF]"When this is all over, I imagine the Royal Police, as well as M&L will both come out smelling of roses. However, we will need to get our hands a little dirty. Nothing illegal, but perhaps something that would be frowned upon by some individuals. Before we continue, perhaps we should wait until the cafe is in it's after hours stages. Some of the things we're going to discuss would be disastrous for certain officers if the information were to get into the hands of a spy."

[color=#000000]He glanced at his coffee, it still had steam lifting from the top.

"That and, I'd prefer my coffee cold rather than hot. Guess we'll have to wait here until it cools. Unless you have somewhere else in mind?"

Lets go to one of the back rooms, we can talk privately there.

He stood up and motioned to one of the waitresses, who quickly ran to the back. She arrived back at the entrance and hovered around making sure no one wandered back there till they went through.

I love this place sometimes. Well most of the time. Anyways, shall we?

[font=Times New Roman][color=#FFFFFF][color=#000000]The room was arranged to give a comfortable but businesslike feeling, in the center of the room was a long rectangular table, with several leather upholstered seats tucked in at the sides and two ends. However, the main attraction of the room was a glass window on the wall opposite the door. It had a metal slider which would allow for it to be opened and closed, limiting the amount of solar radiation entering the room, whoever used the room last had carelessly left it open. It opened up to a view of Dauphine's red space, that seemed to go on forever. Some men could have simply stood there and be captivated by the beauty of the view. Leon and Gerald however, could care less, they both took seats and resumed their conversation.

"This place is a bit more private. Suitable for our discussion, let's continue then. Now, my idea with Mallory and Lambert is this, we'll invite their CEO to Gap to discuss the details of the operation. We'll already have set everything up via the Neural Net with them however, their CEO's trip will be a formality at most, so we'll be able to ensure the corporation doesn't act against us while the operation's going through, by keeping an eye on their leadership any moves they make will be easily countered. Unless you've a better idea on how to keep them controlled?"

Sounds good. I'd love to have a chat with them in person. I do have a problem though. I understand they are going to be giving us these prisoners, but I feel like we can push for a bit more. Perhaps observe someone for us, or gather something. What do you think?

[font=Times New Roman][color=#FFFFFF]"Well, they claim to do some spy work for the crown, I don't think it'll be too much of an issue to ask them to forward the intel they gather on Sirians to us. Perhaps toss them a few credits every now and again when we need something specific checked out. I think they'd be willing to comply to something like that, if they are who they claim to be."

That sounds good to me. I do have a task for them right away though. I want them to look at these Zoners. Trust me mon ami, I don't like them but what they stand for and how they operate interests me. I want to know how they can pull off keeping Freeports around without hostility.

He takes a sip of his coffee and goes to refill it, but finds the pitcher empty. He shrugs and decides he has had enough for now.

[font=Times New Roman][color=#FFFFFF][color=#000000]Leon powers on his Datapad and loads up the Neural Net entry with M & L, he begins the audio recording process but stops it before anything's recorded.

"Would you like to handle this Directeur, or should I?"
