Yep, because the UC finds more profitable spending cash and resources on taking down a government and it's army/navy instead of sticking to their current drug/guns/tech (black)market settled across the House. That's just another mercenary group for me.
Probably should contact Hogosha to switch sides in Kusari and see if they find a better alternative to hauling Artifacts into lawful space.
The Corse are not so much Unlawful as Semi-Unlawful. They are like modern day Mafias. Sure, they are known to do tons and tons of illegal actions and are watched closely, But they do said actions secretly most of the time. You -can- see a mafia member stroll down the street without 5 cops trying to arrest him/her simply because he hasn't been caught doing anything wrong. Same case here.

And that goverment would tolerate deals that are deemed unlawful anyway?

Well the Government pretty much ignores the Gallic Junkers Illegal activities. As long as its not to bad. But doubt the Government of Gallia would want to act against them to harshly. (As long as they keep doingf their job.)
Erm, The Government can be very against the UC (Openly) whilst that same gangster walks by those officers with a firearm peeping out slightly and still not get arrested.
It would be best to go by how governments have acted in history and today. They are very against them, (though they may have links to those in government still) so strong policies will be made by the Government, (as has happened in the past) but doesn't mean those policies are enforced properly. (as many were not)

You have a Navy busy shooting revolutionaries and a Police which is corrupt as hell so keeping such deals away from their eyes shouldn't be much of a trouble.
PS: Also I'm not sure if I did read it in an infocard or a bar rumor, but the UC has been selling diverse pieces of tech to the Council purchased from the lawfuls like these mine defusing devices that were used to open those dandy holes in the Lorraine and Languedoc minefields. Don't see the point of breaking other future business opportunities like this one mentioned.

We don't shoot the police and we say hi and go on our way with the navy, fun fact all of the engagements with them they shot first. Then again things change, and they've been busy handing activity to the CCCP or raiding the Taus so I don't know. Not being sarcastic I really haven't met GRN recently
If we're gonna talk about the GRN| official faction (this shouldn't be the place anyway), they've been ignoring UC until a certain Sean Neville guy decided to pounce them in Orkney. Or uh, what about acting as mercenaries for unlawfuls to assist them in raiding a prison ship? Corse should be offering the logistical support there (or selling this kind of intel to the revolutionary side, blabla lotsa things to do!), and letting Maquis/Council/Brigands do the rest.
Quote:Another Union Corse faction that is hostile to the Crown? Come on, you are supposed to be neutral at least.
Well until 4.86mod is up and something is change in game reputation and ID then we could change our reputation towards them, UC- aka the United Caron's are roll playing neutral with Gallic Police and for the navy we only had chance to "RP" with CCCP| which are ganking us in front of our stations with capital ships.
