I was not asking to remove it... I was asking if you think NB is unbalanced.

The Magellan JG was disabled in vanilla multiplayer too. (as far as I remember)

I know it is involved in SP.... but what about some way to make it less "attractive" because it really is abused by both smugglers/pirates.

I even thought that Wild were added to make it less attractive to traders.... but it actually means that more pirates/other players... come the to "mine" the Wild for Nomad Blasters....

If moving is not an option then what other options are there?

- More wild?

- Some minefield, station ? - because RM would probably not like a highway like this into NB.

- Wild NPCs that don't drop Nomad blasters? (to stop the mining?)

I'm not arguing against you Mjolnir when I ask, "why change it?"

I'm just wondering what problem you are seeing that is upsetting game balance or impeding someone's roleplay.

Yes, i agree with the Wild thing.
I have seen a bunch of people there, every time i pass, killing the Wild.
Remove them or make their patrols even heavier. Say, 6-8 ships minimum:)

Why change it..... because everyone is in New Berlin/Sigma 13 ... pirates.. traders and the like... I think it's the most busy place in whole Sirius (after NY) together with Theta/Delta.

While New London is empty just about all the time..... New Tokyo is not exactly a busy place either(almost the only people that are there are traders comming from NB)

' Wrote:This jumphole cannot be moved or removed since it's involved in SP. It can only be disabled, which isn't too logical.

So, just leave it as is.

sorry but this is not quite correct.

for example you can put an option in the flmm menu whether someone want to play sp version or mp version
so far i think this fine mod is designed for mp and not for sp

So you want 2 people in each system spread out all over the map?:D

I get your point but I don't see it as a big problem. Looks to me like the fact that there are a lot of active factions in RM space is the major contributor. That JH has been there for a long time, why the increased traffic? Maybe the new trade routes have altered traffic some? I dunno, but it seems a bit reactionary to ask for JH removal at this point.

well the new york jumphole to megellen got closed in SP did it not just after you use it to escape NY from the police i think thats what happened. and theres plenty of shortcuts through every house not just rheinland how you think BAF and Kusari feel being right at each others throats constantly.

as for the jumping from megellen to leeds it might as well be NL because the jh is right next to the JG. and its not like the s-13 jumphole is that uber of a shortcut and its not like you RM should complain it brings alot of action your way and keeps rheinland alive in ways with all em nasty smugglers coming in and out and nasty pirates looking for a little bash at them also

all the traders are there because they moved from Tau31 :)... and all the pirates are there because the traders are there....or to mine the Wild...

@Lohingren... yes It's good for RM and Outcasts/Blood Dragons/Corsairs

bad for Bretonia, Kusari, Mollys, Gaians,FA, Hackers....

yes Magellan JH is close to the TL to New London JG - some 15k I think... and then you need to jump... and take 2 TLs..... in NB you go 3k to the middle of the TL to the planet... a bit shorter isn't it?

----
Ok when I pirate.. I almost always pirate there... why? To get the traders to use some other routes...there are many others that bring about the same or more profit at less risk... and bring life to other parts of sirius.

Its been there forever, let it stay there... nothing unbalanced about it in my opinion.

I think NB is fine the way it is, yes alot of players use this route. That a good thing for Rhienland factions, the other houses are less fortunate.

I think partly the Magellan JG in NY is locked in most servers is it provides an extermely easy trade route between NY and Leeds that causes you to raise cash far to quickly. All of Liberty is unbalanced in that every Liberty system has a Jump point into NY and invunrableville

@ chopper: Yes I think all house system should have strong NPC's and Base/Battleship guns. Discovery is about moving freelancer forward in time and restoring a balance between the houses so they may compete against each other. If you remember single player the houses are arranged in levels of difficulty so you have the flawed scenario of the richest cenralised hub of Sirus (Liberty) flying the poorest ships in the game. Igiss added ships for the weaker house to restore balance.

Rhienlanders have it good at the moment, Liberty is second simply because of the traffic generated by it's location but is let down by NY being a non-RP/PVP zone. The other houses need a shot in the arm to improve traffic and gameplay.

If it really grates so much on RM's nerves then you could always annex the Sigma 13 system. I think ayrans have a history of this kind of thing and who currently has the force to stop you? :D
