Even if the first statement coming from Hans about Ravenov's office clearly mentioned the hallway next to him, Akechi bidded farewell to Bolevara and walked upstairs and noticing the door of Colonel's office half-closed. He stepped into the room, this time bowing his head a bit more than he used to do with the other guests he met.
'Respectful salutations, Colonel Ravenov. Akechi Kazuo, from the Rising Sons of Kusari. The Shogunate hoped that you would understand their decision of sending one of their Rōjū here. The Taus are becoming worse than ever in terms of hostility, and the distance between Kyoto and Gran Canaria isn't helping either. Allow me to pass their congratulations for your outstanding service in the Order.'

"It would be an honor to meet the Rising Sons' janitor." Eriksson chuckled "Your janitor probably has more combat experience then half of our pilots." Eriksson took a sip from his martini.

"Jokes aside, konnichiwa and arigato Kazuo-san. I am sure you're aware that the Shogunate wouldn't have sent you here just so you could have some fun. The Order Primary Fleet would like to strengthen their relations with the Rising Sons with any means necessary, and the High Command would like to do so with some joint operations. But I'm not setting the price here. That's what you're here for. So, is there any way we could make this work, Kazuo-san? "

'Joint operations will be doable as long as the integrity of our established diplomacies is not harmed. Tohoku is already the main area of operations for our two groups when it comes to the eradication of the Nomad threat. If there was any other opportunity to cooperate, even out of Kusari borders, then the Order is free to ask us. So if there is something in your mind right now, I will gladly listen.'

"I was thinking of having two of our agents be stationed at Kyoto, while one of your pilots be stationed at Toledo for a non-permanent duration of time. Like a month or so. I believe our agents need to hear the experience from your pilots in order for them to fight the threat more efficiently. Our pilots would serve as a substitute while your pilots is on Toledo. And who knows, maybe your pilots can learn something from our agents." Eriksson took a sip from his martini.

'I believe this exchange program happened once, one year ago or so. While I find flattering the fact of two of your agents being able to do the job of a single Dragon, I think that the ones who should learn to fight the Nomad threat more efficiently should be our side. We aren't entirely dedicated to combat this slippery enemy, while the Order is, hence the purpose of this... alliance. Or at least that's what we understand.'

"Quite right, Kazuo-san, quite right. But the problem is that you fight infected human pilots while we fight actual Nomads. So what I think we should do is we should ready our pilots for both kind of threat. So if a Nomad ever wanders into Kusari, you'll know what to do. Same thing goes if a infected pilot enters Order space.I mean sure both of us can fight both, but you have more experience with one and we have more experience with the other. We could also share our research on the Nomads and the Wild."

'If the Order believes they need more information concerning the combat capabilities of the Naval Forces shipline being used by the majority of the infected pilots spotted in this past time across Kusari, fine, I'm sure the Shogunate will be looking forward to arrange something. As for Nomad research, Sendai still has an entire team dedicated to unraveling the mysteries surrounding this particular enemy, so they won't have any issue with sharing and reaching whatever kind of conclusion which could lead to combat it properly.

I must say that at the moment all our efforts focused on pushing the hostile presence away from Hokkaido and the Sigmas space, aside from launching strikes against Naval Forces outposts in the Taus, which means that it could take some time until we set up everything concerning future operations between us and the Order. Needless to mention our potential interest in technology exchange, but that's something that the Shogunate would want to discuss with your High Command at any other time'

"Well, I'm glad we came to an agreement. And I'll see if I can do something to help you push the hostiles in the Sigmas and Hokkaido. We can't help you against the Naval Forces, but if anything Nomad ever appears, be sure to call us and we'll be on our way to help you. Now, regarding the research exchange, I'll see if I can get a convoy arranged to transfer some of our scientists to Kyoto. And about the technology exchange, ever since the mishap with the Corsairs, the High Command started being very picky to whom they give technology. Guns and snubs are alright, but for bigger ships you'll have to talk with them personally. If it were up to me you'd get a Reshep just like that, but..." Eriksson took the last sip out of his martini.

"Ohh would you looky there, I drank my martini. Would you care for some sake, Kazuo-san?"

'Thanks for the offer, one cup of sake did enough for me today.

Also, Kyoto may not be the perfect place for your scientists. Sendai will be. As for the technology issue, as I said, nothing our parties should worry about for now.'

"Alright then, do we have an agreement then, Kazuo-san?" Eriksson extended his hand in hopes of a handshake.

'The Shogunate will hear about this proposal once I'm back, indeed.'
Akechi replied, followed by a handshake.
'Any other pending matter to discuss?'
