i was take a look to bretonia space, and there was only some people with low level so nothing for pirate.when i take a look on the kusari, the same some people in kusari 2-3 in one system. but when i take a look in rheinland what i see? in NB is 10-15 players, some of them are RM but others are traders or BH in their battlecruisers(actualy i find only 2 or 3 BH in ship smaller as battlecruiser in last days and all of them was new and ask me why i kill them) and in sigma are everytime traders.gold mine for pirates, so you think i will go to cambridge and wait hours and hours to find someone with some money or i will be in sigma and waitng and i am suer that i must wait no longer as 10 minutes to have trader on scanner.maybe is it now unbalanced in NB but also is unbalanced that planet new berlin is the most defended planet with cap ships. and i mean not RM(they are always in fighters/bobmers) and i think you know, pirates are always only there where moving traders.
The diamonds to tokyo/kyushu and then niobium to the ring isn't very viable anymore because it's got like 20 pirates who frequent that area.
So far I've had 3 pirates of differing factions all waiting for me to leave new berlin, 3 pirates of differing factions waiting on the other side of the Sigma-13 hole, gunboat pirates who kill me before I can say "Stop shooting me" (they'll literally fly up and blow me up? What the...)
I've moved on to other trade routes, but damn... it's very jarring to see groups of pirates of differing allegiences all just sat there waiting for joe trader. What's worse is the fact that there are more pirates than there are traders, all of which demand (without doing it RP style. They justgo...) "2 million" to me and start shooting up my shields.
when i am in sigma,i try t be alone there.and when is there some of enemy fction i tryto kill him or damage him so he elave.because i tax and i guarantie traders safe passage in sigma.
Digging out an old thread.
Was funny to read the posts. Thats why my trader char is using the trade lanes through Frankfurt. Its a bit longer, but no pirates, because they are sitting at the NB JH in Sig 13, while i have a nice day in the trade lane.
@ Rick James: Other Trade routes: !Spoiler!
1. Engine parts from Honshu to Lanzarote and back with Deuterium from Gran Canaria to Honshu.
2. Prisoners from Harris to Vierlande prison in Hamburg.
3. Beryllium from Newcastle or Tau 23 to NB
4. Gold from Gran Canaria to Tripoli shipyard.
5. Light arms from NY or NB to Crete, Malta or Hokkaido
6. Counterfeit sw from NY to BattleBhip (BB:laugh:) Hood
7. Plutonium from Helgoland or Ogashawa to Lanzarote.
8. Scrap, because its a short route, mine it in NB and deliver it to Bornholm depot.
9. Military vehicles from Stuttgart to BB Myoko.
10. Tradelane parts from Pueblo to Tau 31 JG construction site.
11. I know i have seen a good route for polymers, but cannot remember exactly.
12. Superconductors from Pueblo to Oder shipyard.
13. Optronics from Honschu to Camebridge, which i would consider as smuggling:P
14. The best Diamond route starts in Omega 15. Then you can go different ways to Kyushu.
15. Niobium from Tau 31 or 23 to Leipzig.
16. Passengers and Lux Goods from Manhattan to Augsburg.
17. Lux Food from Camebridge to Denver and from Stuttgart to Hawaii.
18. VIP's from Camebridge to Honshu or Kurile.
19. Mox from LD14 or Dortmund to malta or Tripoli.
There are many other routes. Its just the lazyness of many traders to discover more traderoutes. They only know this route and they teach noobs only this route.

I myself go another route from Cambridge. I have a whale, and I periodically ( at least once a day) take 2000 tons of food and 2700 tons of polymers to Crete.
"Freelancer Alpha dash niner, this is Freeport 7 control, You are cleared for departure. Good luck out there."
Soldato Zavier Benitez, Benitez flight instructor.
Additionally to my foregoing post i must say, when i have met PC's hauling prisoners to NB, they were surprised as soon as i told them where they get 299 credits more per unit.
I'll round it up to 300. With an Advanced Train a plus of 1.500.000 credits.
Back to the Sig 13 JH in NB. Place Wild GB patrols there, like in Omega 58, with the nice Cerberus loadout. Of course the Wild fighters should drop nothing than bots and bats.
To quote Zavier (*high five*) there are plenty of other routes out there that make much much more money, with a little more flexibility for *gasp* RP and have the potential for a little good 'ol fashioned fun.
I tried the diamond/nobium run about four times and just about clawed out my eyes from the sheer boredom of it. Between running past a half dozen stone silent advanced trains and the lack of any conversation aside from system comms occasionally blatting out "2 mill or die"
I say leave the darn thing in place, if some people have an earnest need to invest in the purgatory that is that run then that's their cup of tea.
I say, if anything, install a huge billboard at the entrance of the jumphole in NB urging a change of lifestyle.
What's great about trading is that you can travel anywhere you want, and still make a buck while doing it, and if you're carrying the right stuff the locals might not shoot at you.
