Actually, Munich is Munchen in german and that is already a planet name. Though to be honest I think that the planets should be renamed in some of the Rheinland systems to provide more options to add systems. Like renaming Holstein Frankfurt, or adding a habitable planet called that. (Holstein still needs to be remaned. I don't care if the devs named it that, it doesn't fit.)
Well Igiss I dont think you should change it bc it is referenced in SP, and that would sound odd having a system being referenced when passing by the plaent that it used to be called
well cause Holstein is an area, like Brandenburg, Hesse, or Bavaria. All(most) planets in freelancer are named after cities. Though changing it is up to you.
Well, as I cannot rename the system (it's already referred to in too many dll ID strings), let's just say that Munich planet was renamed after SP campaign.
As for areas, all systems in Rheinland are named after cities, not areas. Remember: New Berlin, Hamburg, Stuttgart, Frankfurt, Dresden. Munich fits well enough (it's the capital of Bavaria anyway). In Kusari, systems are named after Japanese islands, in Bretonia they are cities too, and in Liberty they are US states (including New York, as far as I know New York is a state too).
I think we should let Holstein stay. Players are used to it... that's not an unsettled planet like Munich (was), that few people pay attention to.
Don't rename it Bavaria. I am making a Bavaria shipyards in Hessen. Hopefully with an undockable Rheinland Battleship in the docking ports. I'll need Igiss to make it locked though...
