Renegade History
[font=Palatino Linotype]
[size=medium]♦ Rorry's Past
John Roary Santiago, better known as Rip Rorry is the soul leader of the Renegades. He is a bastard child who's father, a Corsair, sent him off at a young age because of his embarrassment of Rorry's origins. Rorry spent his teen years with the Omicroners in Theta until he was able to skillfully fly his own ship. He then set out to "prove" himself to his father and the Corsairs as a whole.
His solo piracies began not to far from Theta: Sigma 13. Finding a haven at Yangi, he claimed "kinghood" over the Sigma lanes and taxed all those that passed by. Excluding of course the Junkers, who gave him a place of refuge and rest, Zoners, who essentially raised him, and the Corsairs, who he tried ever so hard to prove to them he was worthy of their notice. Abandonment from the Corsairs took a toll on Rorry, his mind mad with the desire to gain their approval. This madness is what spurred his self title of "King." Thinking that dominance over others would raise the "respect" level of the Corsairs toward him. His self obsession grew immense, and he expanded his hunting grounds...
The GMG quickly took notice of Rorry in their space, and as time went on Rorry found he couldn't always remain in their space without risking his life. To make himself scarce in the GMG's eyes, he moved some of his operations to the Frankfurt system. Spending his time hunting back and forth from Sigma 13 to Frankfurt to keep on the run from the GMG. He still called himself "King of the Sigmas," but a new threat was biting at his heels...
A Rheinland freelancer group lead by one "Adam Spire" soon noticed Rorry and his solo antics. Because Rorry was of no serious threat to the Rheinland government, but still a nuance, Adam Spire's "[FL]" group found themselves in the perfect position to dedicate time to hunting Rorry. The "King" had no where safe to run...
He took a break... Traveling Sirius in an attempt to find a place he fit into... This journey was the biggest turning point in his life, and the start of the Renegades. During his time in Bretonia he was contacted by a young man by the name of "Alan Write." A brilliant mind exiled by the lawfuls due to his extensive knowledge of Nomad Research and other military secrets. Alan had not contacted Rorry for any trivial reason... They were brothers, though 4 years apart and having different upbringings. Alan grew up with the mother of the two sons, in Liberty, and of course Rorry with the father, a Corsair. Alan had with him a loyal group of pilots, and offered to assist Rorry in the future if he ever needed. With this new knowledge, Rorry continued to explore Sirius. With time he found himself in a foreign space, beyond the Taus... Gallia.
Rorry had not gone far into Gallic space before he was stopped by the local Navy. When passing words he heard mention of their "King." For a moment Rorry thought he had found his final adversary, a man with whom to battle titles with. Little did he know the forces of Gallia were far larger than any group he had even encountered before. He decided to fight the naval forces before him, but was quickly outgunned and almost died, had it not been for a group known as the Legion of the Damned and an independent Freelancer that came to his aid...
And so Rorry came into contact with the "+LE+" of the Brigands, and the unusually large Bretonian scumbag known as "Gator." Gator was in debt to the Brigands, for unknown reasons, and was serving a 10 year sentence as their personal dirty job man to pay back what he owed. Rorry was quick to pay the Legion for saving his life, and after talks with their leadership, he found a mutual hate for the Gallic King and the Royalists. He wanted to keep contact with the Legion, as his personal vendetta against the Royalists had been sparked. He paid for Gator's owed debts, granting him his freedom, but he tasked the large man to remain in the area and to keep contact with the Legion for him. Rorry then left Gallia for the time being, but intent on heading back to "play games" with the Royalist scum who's King was "better" than Rorry...
In the Tau's Rorry received a most disturbing message from his brother... Alan had visual proof that their father had planned and murdered their mother years age when they were but children. Rorry was furious. He made his way to Planet Crete as fast as possible, where he found his father drinking with his 'amigos.' Stabbing his father and killing multiple Corsairs, Rorry fled Gamma. He pledged to forever hunt his former father's "family" till his death.
[color=#FF6600]♦ Birth of the Renegades
Back in the Frankfurt area, Rorry called his brother, Alan Write (Santiago), to his aid. Rorry now had a small group of men at his command, and he always kept an eye out for more men willing to join his ranks. Together they formed what is now "Rorry's Renegades." They found that, with their combined efforts they could make far more credits, taking entire transport's cargos and then smuggling it to a suitable selling point. Rorry and his men became rich beyond all their dreams.
But it was not enough... Rorry wanted to wreak unending revenge on the Corsars, whom he despised as a race, believing them to be corrupted and cruel to no end. And he wished to continue his "games" against the Gallic King who had unnerved him.
Rorry got back into contact with the Legion, agreeing on a deal to trade information of Sirius and to hunt the Royalists in exchange for technology in the Legion's possession and credits. With his new found technology from the Brigands and a small "army" at his back, he was ready to wage havoc on the Corsairs. But a small war has costs... Rorry made contact with the Outcasts, securing a deal to get paid for killing the Corsairs, to cover the costs of such an endeavor. To further gain the trust of the Outcasts, Rorry has delegated a select few smugglers to continuously supply and ship Slaves and Cardimine for the Outcasts. Though this deal is only known by a VERY select few. Since then the mutual hate for the Corsairs has made the bond between the Outcasts and the Renegades stronger than any other tie to date.
[font=Palatino Linotype]The Renegades now find themselves at a stable point, with three clear objectives.
♦ To Pirate in Rheinland and surrounding space, always seeking maximum profit with minimum loss.
[color=#FFCC00]♦ To hunt the Corsairs to no end. A thousand deaths will not be enough... ♦ To kill as many of the King of Gallia's men and to mock him and the Royalists at every chance they get.

Renegade Mercenary Role Play
[font=Palatino Linotype] ♦1 [color=#FFCC00]- Strictly hunt Corsairs, Gallic Royal Navy, and Gallic Royal Police ships.
♦2- Do not offer or accept requests to kill any ship other than the above mentioned groups. (eg- Do not offer to help Outcasts kill IMG, but you can accept a request from Hessians to assist in killing Corsairs.)
♦3- Do not fly along side Pirate ID'd Renegade charicters. (eg- No flying with them so you can pop off RM or other vessels together.) Stick to what you are supposed to do and ONLY that: Killing Corsairs/GRN/GRP.
♦4- If you are "Sinner." tagged role play to be a follower of Gator, all other merc ID'd characters can choose whether they are dedicated to Gator or to Rorry.
♦5- All targets should know they were attacked by Rengades before they die.
♦6- You're employer is not important, targets don't need to know who is paying you to hunt them.
[font=Palatino Linotype][color=#FFCC99]♣ [color=#CC6600]♣♣
Renegade Pirate Role Play
[font=Palatino Linotype] ♦1 [color=#FFCC00]- Stay within the Pirate ZOI. This is very important, there should be no pirating in Taus, Gallia, or anywhere beyond Rheinland and its bordering systems.
♦2- Role Play beyond just the generic 2milordia pirate. Do this by not going straight from the demand to halt to the demand of credits/cargo. Following the demand to 'halt' you should tell them that you want 'something' from them. Give them a chance to ask what it is, who you are, etc etc.
♦3- If a trader/miner shows they can/are willing to Role Play then go with it SO LONG AS: They are not trying to run while getting you to talk, lawful forces are not inbound or possibly so, they are just buying time.
♦4- Do not actively seek out engagements with anyone except targets for piracy. (eg- If you fight lawfuls, it should be because they found you, not you them.)
♦5- Do not attract unwanted attention. (eg- System chat/taunting)

"They're pirates out of desperation, terrorists out of necessity."
At first glance, the origin of the Mollys seems shrouded, but the political undercurrents that lead to the current state of Dublin can be seen as early as 750 A.S. The mining revolts of 752 and subsequent attempts by the BAF and BPA to pacify the region only hardened the resolve of the embryonic faction, leaving them with a burning determination to free Dublin from Bretonian control and corporate manipulation. The advent of the Molly-Rogue pact a short while later allowed them access to the latter group's shipbuilding experience, and together they collaborated on a number of projects, including the Z-9000 Barghest, and culminating in the Scylla. After locating a system--which they deemed Londonderry--to call home, the fledgling Mollys began to operate towards the liberation of Dublin in earnest. Due to the small nature of the organization, open war was out of the question, and instead they focus on lightning raids against convoys and poorly-defended military assets.
After a Corsair fleet decimated the Mollys near the planet Cork, a new objective came into view. Not only would the Mollys continue to work towards freeing their homeland, now they also had their dead to avenge. To this day, Corsairs and Mollys clash in the Omegas, leaving broken ships and broken lives on either side.

In the beginning, Cortez was nothing more than a whisper among the western stars that made up the house of Liberty. When trade and merchandise was not flowing at the rate it did in the 500 AS century, Cortez was a lonely, quiet system with little to no activity. Its vast emptiness were new ground for the Human colonists. One among them was a young gentlemen named Tony Cortez. He was with his brother, Gregory Cortez when they reached and chartered the unknown system, they discovered the single, deep blue planet that stood in the very center and rightly called it Curacao planet and the system was titled after them, Cortez. The planet soon made the area famous for its clear waters, perfect climate, exotic wildlife.
The elder brother, Gregory Cortez soon passed away shortly after and Tony was left. He realized that the planet was getting more and more popular and he, like any other human, wanted to profit out of it. He started a small resort on the planet, the only one at the time. It became a haven for those with the wealth to visit.
When the system got recognized, a new trade link was set up by Ageira Technologies and Deep Space Engineering connecting Cortez to Manchester, the closest Bretonian system. Tony Cortez, was now a very wealthy young adult from his various resorts on the planet and wanted to spread his business of luxury services and hotels into the rest of Sirius. Thus Orbital Spa & Cruise was born.
It started with Tony keeping his resorts on Curacao and hiring crews to fly transports to Los Angeles and Manchester to allow improved public transport to Curacao. Peter Englund, a ship architect hired by White Spa Lines that was one of many substrates of Orbital Spa & Cruise designed the Enterprise Luxury Liner. Several of the vessels were bought and two of the most notable, the Shetland and Hawaii were stationed in two of the furthest corners of Sirius, as a safe haven for peace seeking souls. The Shetland in Edinburgh was the first to be opened by Richard Charles - the latest Orbital Spa & Cruise Manager - in 720 AS. In 791 AS the Hawaii followed and was placed in Sigma-19. An incredibly popular destination, the Hawaii has operated at near capacity almost from the beginning. The location of the ship outside the policed boundaries of the colonies is also rumored to be part of the attraction, and much of the popularity of the Hawaii lies in the implied promise of forbidden fruit available to those who can afford a ticket.
Despite the Hawaii and Shetland, Orbital Spa & Cruise has many mobile luxury liners and yachts, acting as 'homes away from home' for the people of Sirius. Planet Baden Baden became more and more popular and a resort there grew so large many became to just think of the planet as Orbital Spa & Cruise owned when this in fact was not the case legally.
Present day, Orbital Spa & Cruise prides itself on being second to none, and its name far outreaches its physical operational boundaries. Flying some of the most luxurious craft in the Sirius Sector, it soon became a number one favorite for diplomats and VIPs from military & civilian careers. Despite the influx in prestigious guests, it did not forget the general population and still transports vasts amounts of everyday passengers and adventure-seeking tourists. The company is based on Planet Curacao, but it has its second largest control sphere on Planet Baden Baden in Rheinland. Plans for further growth are currently under way.

Past, Present & Future
[font=Agency FB]With the abrupt end to the 80 years war in 668 A.S, the Kaiser ordered the birth of a new sub-military organisation tasked with intelligence gathering. With the Rheinland Imperial fleet suffering an enormous blow during the 80 years war, the Kaiser believed the tragic loss of life could have been avoided if they have proper intelligence on the sigma-13 system. The newly formed Rheinland Military did not have the financial means to conduct adequate military intelligence gathering so the Buro der Marineintelligenz was formed in 670 A.S.
The BDM was heavily involved in the Von Rohe's Day incident in 672 A.S. By order of the Keiser, It infiltrated the protester groups and relayed back to the Military on key figure and plans. It began to target key individuals and they 'disappeared' one after the other. When the Kaiser stepped down, the BDM destroyed all case files and studies and became a ghost. The BDM was not of public knowledge since its creation, so when it got cancelled they were not aware of any changes. When the heat from the revolutionaries died down, and a chancellor was put into office, the BDM came back from the shadows and was re-instated into the Rheinland government and armed forces.
With funding from the new Chancellor, the BDM was equipped with military hardware and it became the eyes and ears of Rheinland in Sirius. It began to infiltrate the other houses and key corporations in Sirius. Still unaware of public knowledge, the BDM relayed all data from groups in Sirius to the Chancellor and planned possible Rheinland occupation sites such as the Omegas and Omicrons.
At the end of the eighth century, a group of Rheinland researchers in the Omicron systems would stumble upon a most extraordinary cache. With the discovery of hundreds of artifacts, the Rheinland government and military quickly became infested by nomad organisms. The BDM was not officially known to have had any contaminated agents but during this time, one agent disappeared and his body and ship were never found.
With the arrival of the Wilde, the BDM was tasked with its immediate destruction and months were spent on Wilde research and neutralisation. This is still continuing to this day. When the Liberty ' Rheinland war broke out, the BDM co-operated with the Rheinland Military on strike groups and recon work. The battles in Texas and Bremen resulted in many agents being killed in the line of duty and BDM recruitment in the Military began to enlarge its member count.
Further financial aid was pumped into the BDM during this time. In 818 A.S, when the discovery of the Gallia house was publicised, the Buro der Marineintelligenz was seen in the Tau systems and the Gallia-Sirius border world systems. When the Gallia Royal Navy began its march into the Tau Sector and it agreed a no-fire treat with Kusari so that it could assault Bretonia with disruptions, the BDM began to- *To be continued*

[font=Segoe Print]Founded during 218 A.S in partnership between Deep Space Engineering and Ageria Technologys it quickly became the leading financial company within the Sirius. Its planned purpose was for the constructions of jump gates and trade lanes outside of liberty.
Interspace Commerce expanded into Kusari and had set up Roppongi station in the New Tokyo system. Up until this point the Kusari goverment had banned all foreign immigration as well as the construction of foreign stations and businesses. It was a risky move and angered many Kusarian citizens, however Interspace Commerce stayed in Kusari. Groups of terrorism such as the Blood Dragons sprouted to stop foreign corruption into Kusari and became hostile to Interspace Commerce.
In 350 A.S, Interspace Commcerce became the primary financier of trade lanes for the other houses. In Rheinland, it constructed Bonn station in New Berlin to oversee its interests in 521 A.S. Later in 525 A.S Interspace Commerce agreed to forgive all debts to foreign houses, and turned control of the trade lanes and jump gates in those houses over to their governments. With this, Interspace Commerce collected tolls for using its jump gates and trade lanes for the next 200 years. The company has never been satisfied with the two hundred years of tolls it got in exchange, and it is for this chief reason that a good deal of animosity towards Rheinland and Kusari exists even today. As a result, Interspace Commerce often allows ships from the Bundschuh, Red Hessians and even the Unioners to dock and purchase supplies on Bonn station. In respone, the Rheinland military placed the Battleship Strausberg outside the station to keep an eye on Interspace's activities.
Interspace Commerce conducted the same dealings with the Golden Chrysanthemum terrorist movement and began to fund them as well. Rumors of this sprouted up but Interspace Commerce has called off these allegations as "slander".
In 700 A.S., Agiera and Interspace developed a project called the Universal Ship Identification system (USI) which gave Interspace Commerce the ability to track ships and lay tariffs appropriately. Some of the Houses expect this gives Interspace Commerce an edge in competition, however so far nothing has been proven. Piracy organisations such as the Lane Hackers broke into the system and kept track of shipments and raided them accordingly. It also gave shipping locations to other pirate groups like the Rogues and Outcasts.
When the Okinawa System was discovered at the Border Worlds in 812 A.S., both the GMG and Kishiro were eager to move in as fast as possible. In a deal with Interspace Commerce to invest and finance the development of the system, the GMG resentfully signed the deal with Interspace Commerce, who would get 5% of all H-fuel profits. Most piracy and raids in the system are suspected to have originated or sponsored by the Hogosha due to Interspace Commerce's dealings and influence with the Golden Chrysanthemum movement, which has prevented any Golden Chrysanthemum attacks in the system. Kishiro and the Gas Mining Guild ignored whenever a Golden Chrysanthemum vessel has been seen docking with Furyoku Station.

Formed in the dawn of Libertonian life in Sirius, Deep Space Engineering has held a central position of infrastructural development in the sector. The ongoing project of building and maintaining the physical gate/lane network has always been the primary directive of DSE, but it has lead to the emergence of several secondary roles; exploration, mineral extraction and processing, and ship construction also adorn the corporate profile. DSE is fundamental to the influential position of Liberty in Sirius today.
Founded in 51 A.S. with the merging of several major Manhattan construction firms, Deep Space Engineering sprouted into a massive conglomerate aiming to take advantage of the opportunities of space. The contract to build the first Baltimore Shipyards secured the corporation initial success and after completing the shipyards in 58 A.S., DSE began construction colonization ships with the newly developed Ageira drives.
Over the next decades, Deep Space Engineering held its position as the primary construction and mining corporation in Liberty. The technology exchanges between the houses spurred an increase in production, leading to rapidly growing consumption of mineral resources in New York.
In 128 the massive Dallas research station is completed in Texas; Ageira Technologies and the Liberty military begin work on several secret projects, including jump gate technology.
In 145, DSE begins preparing Planet Los Angeles for agriculture by bombarding it with ice asteroids for the purpose of lowering the salinity of the atmosphere. In the following years, further terraforming and cloud seeding is conducted by DSE making Los Angeles the primary food source of Liberty.
In 185, the jumpgate project is unveiled to the rest of Sirius. Four years later, DSE finishes construction of the first gates, between New York and Colorado. The mineral abundance of Colorado is thereby made significantly more available, cutting a three month trip to mere minutes.
In early third century, most of the Liberty systems are connected by gates and construction is begun in the other houses. As funding becomes an increasingly pressing matter, Deep Space Engineering and Ageira Technologies fund the inception of Interspace Commerce.
By the fourth century, New York is depleted of minerals leaving Liberty entirely dependent on Colorado and Texas. The first trade lanes are also built across Liberty by DSE.
By the sixth centry, Liberty mineral resources are nearly exhausted. Low-yield chemical extraction is put to some use on depleted deposits in Colorado, however Liberty is now dependent on minerals from Rheinland. After the Kusari and Rheinland embargo of Liberty, the ownership of gates and lanes is turned over to their respective houses. DSE still manages all construction of new gates and lanes, however.
In 650, significant deposits of Boron were discovered on Pittsburgh. The DSE mining operation was established in 660 and the corporate headquarters were also moved there from Baltimore Shipyard in 698.
While Deep Space Engineering continues to reap profit from gate/lane construction in the ninth century, the corporation has largely stagnated in terms of development. With the emergence of the new Liberty corporation Duchess Industries with by a young and astute leadership, the DSE board saw a potential opportunity. They watched the corporation closely.
Lars Johansen entered the freight profession in 814 A.S. with a Universal Shipping contract. With the contract came a Mammoth transport, which he christened The Duchess Blue after his recently-deceased cat, Duchess. The contract also afforded him a lifestyle that suited him well; he settled down and performed above and beyond his contract. He did, however, have significantly higher ambitions, so later that year he took out a loan for a Whale in an attempt to boost his profits. It proved to be a highly worthwhile investment and his contract with Universal was soon upgraded and renewed. At this point, freelance freight contracting became the limitation to his ambitions.
Therefore, Lars sold his contract with Universal in 816 and used the profits to start a comparatively small freight business, Duchess Shipping. Within a few short weeks some freelancers took an interest in the company and were soon hired. Three large transports and an escort now made up the company fleet and earnings were soaring. Competition from Universal and other shipping corporations now became a pressing issue. Fortunately, this obstacle coincided with profits reaching a level capable of accommodating Lars's plans.
In early 817 A.S., it was decided to integrate and expand into the mining and construction sectors of Liberty industry. At this point, Deep Space Engineering made their move: Duchess Industries was absorbed into DSE and in return Lars Johansen was given a place on the Controlling Board. This greatly faciliated DSE expansion into the freight industry and reduced dependence on Universal Shipping to supply construction sites. As expected, this set in motion a series of events that led to an invigorated DSE in a new era of expansion and modernization.
A convenient venue of this corporate energy presented itself with the arrival of Survey Vessel Armstrong in Coronado. The order was given to closely appraise the IMG presence there and observe their movements in order to determine potential targets for, among other things, mining. Though the most obvious opportunity had already been claimed by IMG on Planet Pecos, Coronado was full of plenty more for the taking.
In the latter part of 817, DSE surveyors discovered Platinum Ore within the rings of the planet Tremont in the Pennsylvania system. There appeared to be massive, nearly limitless quantities contained within the sweeping rings of the planet. DSE quickly brought out some of its rusty mining ships, and within days was constructing more, the beginnings of the Tremont Mining Fleet. More independent contractors soon realised just how profitable this ore could be, and joined DSE in its endeavours to mine the rings of their riches. Pirates were a constant threat, as criminal bases of all sorts could be found within this part of the Pennsylvania system - but DSE managed to cleave its way into massive commerical success with the operations. Soon, a barge - The Radiance - was commissioned to provide a semi-permanent base near Tremont. The hauls were incredible, and DSE was prospering almost unbelievably. Whatever money it made was directed straight back into the mining fleet - more mining ships, more transports, more escorts. Another barge, The Brilliance, was created within the span of a few months by Deep Space Engineering. It was also moved out to the Tremont rings.
But then, disaster struck. The surveyors had been wrong - somehow, they had been incredibly wrong. The platinum within the was not nearly as dense as the surveyors had initially predicted - it came in pockets, true enough. It was hypothesised that the surveyors had somehow only sampled the most dense pockets of platinum. But this did not matter - the facts were plain. DSE was almost completely invested in mining. There was almost nothing left to mine, just platinum dust. The company crashed overnight, leaving the Brilliance and Radiance in the orbit of Tremont, the Brilliance recently crippled by a pirate raid. Another barge, the Incandescence, was left three-quarters completed in the shipyard. Mining ships were abandoned on sight, as were transports and freighters. It was nightmarish, and the company's losses were inconceivable. Trade operations, whatever had been going, died out almost overnight. A few miners stayed around Tremont for a few days after the Great Crash but it soon became apparent that mining operations out in the rings would be futile - whatever platinum dust was left was barely worth salvaging.
So it was that platinum ore became rare, a collector's item, something that was indeed truly rare. There was little left that hadn't been processed and alloyed and installed into machinery or ships. DSE's stores of platinum ore - many hundreds of tons - simply lay forgotted within the barges, within the transports moored to them. The ghost fleet of Tremont had riches within it, and riches abundant - but it was forgotten, run by a skeleton crew on the dark side of Tremont. There were no active operations near Tremont, and nobody ever went there any more - not even pirates. DSE had halted overnight, and had never restarted.
On Christmas Day, 817, the worst that could happen did indeed happen. The DSE president - who had been Lars Johansen - disappeared. He had fallen out of contact for days beforehand, and when the vice-president Aliester Brown had gone in person to find Lars, he had vanished entirely. It remains a mystery to this day - Lar's fleet of ships was intact, his Yacht moored at Baltimore, his Mastodon lay within the silvery dust of Tremont. No one could fathom why he had left, or if he had left, or where had had been gone - or been taken to. Aliester suspected foul play, but never voiced his suspicions to anyone. And so it was that Aliester Brown became the President of Deep Space Engineering, Incorporated, on Christmas Day, 817 A.S. He inherited a rusted, crashed, desolate company; a fleet of rusting ships, a barge and two half-barges; some small capitol; and a few still-dedicated pilots. Things were bleak, but he was determined to lead DSE to new heights within the first months of 818.
Shortly after Alister Brown took over Deep Space Engineering confidence in the company dropped. Share holders withdrew their deposits overnight and the company crashed to a state it had never experienced in its creation in 51 A.S. Alister Brown stepped down swiftly as President of the company and Robert Jones took over his place.

Employees advance through the ranks by way of a point system. Employees are granted points for: demonstrating proficiency in tasks, exhibiting exemplary behaviour, and so on. While supervisors will commend employees regularly, the system depends on nominations by other employees.
// This commendation system is extensively out-of-roleplay, since the system is designed to primarly reward role-play rather than what DSE employees would be rewarded for in-roleplay. The two main categories that members earn commendation points is In-game Roleplay and Forum Roleplay. Secondary categories exist for various other things such as Gameplay and Character Biographies.

The Chugoku Gate Construction Site in Hokkaido is part of a controversial construction project intended to open the recently discovered mineral riches of the Chugoku system to exploitation by Kusari business interests. However, because of the natural dangers of the Hokkaido system and significant levels of terrorist activity, Interspace Commerce (IC) refused to insure the venture until the Kusari government committed to station the Battleship Matsumoto in the system for protection. Despite the large military presence, however, the Chugoku Gate is still a favorite target of the Blood Dragons.
The Sigma-19 Gate Construction Site in Okinawa has been operational for some time, however the project is still expected to take a while longer to complete, especially given the strict directives to Deep Space Engineering, who are being paid a very handsome amount of money for their silence and speed in the construction project.
Considerable amounts of supplies are constantly being shipped in to both the construction site and the nascent beginnings of a trade lane route to the planet Miura, all paid for by the GMG and Kishiro. Despite the extremely high levels of security, there have been a number of attacks on the installation by the Hogosha, who prefer to use lightning hit and run strikes against the jump gate site in order to disrupt progress. Because of this, many of the DSE workers are demanding higher wages due to the dangers involved, and efforts are being increased to tighten security around the base.
The Tau-31 Gate Construction Site in Tau-23 is used by both BMM and DSE. BMM handles base management and stages their mining operation from it while DSE bases the Jump Gate and Trade Lane construction there.
A system as rich in resources as Tau-23 was ripe for exploitation, and once surveyed by Bretonia Mining and Manufacturing (BMM) in 730 AS, the construction of a Jump Gate network linking the system with Bretonia became a high priority. While work on the Tau-31 Jump Gate has proceeded apace, the project has recently come under intense attack by the criminal organization known as the Outcasts, though the reasons behind the hostilities remain unclear. BMM has been forced to hire extra security to protect the construction project and has even attempted to begin limited mining of the valuable Beryllium deposits in the system as a way to offset the skyrocketing costs.
Survey Vessel Armstrong, though not a complete base in its own right, represents the DSE foothold in Coronado. It is tasked with surveying the system for mineral deposits and keeping an eye on IMG activity.
Planet Pittsburgh is the location of the Deep Space Engineering headquarters since covered by a single vast desert, broken only by large rocky outcroppings that have yet to be consumed by the sand. Without any ice asteroids in close proximity, the planet was not considered a good candidate for terraforming and remained sparsely populated until a full-scale mineral survey in 650 AS pinpointed deposits of Boron in the form of borax salts deep within the Corridera Plateau. A mining operation was established on the planet in 660 AS by Deep Space Engineering to exploit these deposits, and it is now the only raw material extraction facility within Liberty space.
Baltimore Shipyard is the primary shipyard used by Deep Space Engineering. It was constructed to service overall DSE operations, but when not at full capacity it also builds prison ships and cruise liners for sale on spec.

Allied
Deep Space Engineering has a symbiotic relationship with Ageira Technologies. As any other Liberty corporation, DSE also relies on the Liberty Navy, Liberty Police, and Liberty Security Force to ensure the general integrity of its corporate interests which are nearly always synonymous with those of Liberty House itself.
Friendly
DSE is naturally friendly with her fellow Libertonian corporations. DSE also more or less follows Liberty foreign policy, thereby DSE is friendly with the Bretonian lawfuls: the BPA, BAF, and Bretonian corporations.
Neutral
Due to the war between Kusari and Bretonia, DSE is not friendly with Kusari lawfuls. Neutrality is necessary for the sake of business and continued success with gate/lane construction. Due to the rising hostility between Liberty and Rheinland, DSE is on reasonably neutral terms with certain Rheinland criminal factions.
Unfriendly
True neutrality with Rheinland House, while prefered, is not entirely possible in the current state of Liberty foreign relations. DSE is tolerated in Rheinland space, and DSE tolerates being in Rheinland space, but cautious toleration is as far as the relationship extends. DSE is also unfriendly with with most Sirius criminal factions with no directly conflicting interests.
Hostile
DSE is on highly hostile terms with most Liberty criminals and their allies, primarily the Outcast alliance, but also any faction in direct opposition to DSE interests wherever they may be.

[font=Arial Narrow]~ iKytec started as a insignificant, family business back in 725 A.S. It began with the father, Lincon Whittic and the eldest son, Bradley Whittic, with a crew going from its origin planet of Manhattan to other parts of the New York system. It would be easy and safe work, visiting numerous bases and Pittsburgh for small handfuls of money to keep them on their feet. They started with the classic and most rugged of container ships, a Rhino - EL-HiL27 Freighter which was the only vessel at their command.
~ A few years moved by and business became good as contracts grew ever so slowly. In 734 A.S. they bought a second Rhino - EL-HiL27 Freighter which was commanded by the son, Bradley Whittic. They gained the access codes to California and Colorado and swapped their old Rhino's for the much more economic Gull - CT-49X shipping containers.
~ Competition became tough as they began to transport much more expensive loads. In time, the family fleet grew and they began to hire people to transport with them. Advanced companies like Ageira began to show interest in the business and its progress as they began to make a name for themselves in the yearly days of 745 A.S.
~ Later on in the same year, the father, Lincon Whittic, passed away and his son, Bradley Whittic took the reins. He invested in new transports like the Heron - CT-53 and new crews. He also established the Security division which firmly divided the family business into two leagues. The prospect of good money for just babysitting container ships within the confinements of Liberty was a welcome to many young adults.
~ iKytec began to make a name for themselves and masses of shares were bought into the company. They expanded into the house of Bretonia and its border worlds in 776 A.S. and later on into Kusari and Rheinland. The ships that did start the company was minuscule to what it became in the years of 780 A.S, Stork super transports and well armoured Eagles quickly became the unofficial icon of iKytec.
~ Interspace Commerce took a very keen interest in iKytec, much more than the other major corporations. They decided to buy iKytec from the Wittic family and run iKytec as a sub division from their own. Many were put off by the idea of this but the family accepted the offer and it's still coordinated and partially run by the family still but IC controls a large proportion of what happens within the company and how things are run.

[font=Arial Narrow]Daumann Heavy Construction is the largest mining and manufacturing firm in Rheinland. We used to be the only approved vendor for the military and police, we built their ships and we produced their equipment. During the 80-Years War, we enjoyed a position of utmost supremacy in the Rheinland corporate world. We were unchallenged for military contracts and controlled a fair portion of civil ones as well. However, the events at the end of the war splintered the entire infrastructure. Alongside internal troubles, Republican Shipping took an iron hold of the transport market, and Kruger shifted its operations to compete with us in the Omegas. While Kruger would never recover from its losses in the 80-Years War, they still remain a solid competitor. We went from a monopoly to a company struggling to retain previously unchallenged markets.
While challenges present themselves at every turn, all is not lost. We will expand into new markets, and begin retaking businesses previously ours. We will reduce our reliance on Republican's price-gouging, and make sure they do not run unchecked in the Rheinland trade market. As resources dwindle, we will continue to search for new mining fields. We will brave the dangers of the far Omegas and even the Omicrons if we must. We will retake our place as the only corporation Rheinland needs.
[size=medium]History
The Rheinlanders would quickly establish an emergency state for themselves, in order to rapidly conduct decisions during the process of colonization. This state, although composed of the Reichstag housing hundreds of representatives, would come to politically mimic the 19th century German Empire, thus developing a very patriotic and imperialist tendency. With the discovery of the Stuttgart and Dresden systems, Rheinland's food problems would be a past memory, while it's mining and shipbuilding industry would completely skyrocket, eventually producing a large, but resource consuming navy. This navy was widely regarded as able to singlehandedly conquer any other house in the sector, even by outside analysts. What Rheinland did not have was a cheap source of H-Fuel required to effectively maintain such a navy. A Kruger Minerals operation sent to Sigma-13 became a catalyst for the conflict, with Empress Leicht declaring the system Rheinland territory a few weeks afterwards.
Contribution to Economy
Rheinland is particularly reliant on the export of diamonds, with vast mining enterprises in Dresden and Omega-11. Daumann Heavy Construction also operates a number of stations in Omega-7 and Omega-3, mining copper, cobalt and hydrocarbons to fuel the shipbuilding industry. Leipzig Station is crucial to processing the minerals into high-temperature alloys. Niobium is also a key ingredient, and is imported from Kusari.
Popular Revolution (672 A.S.)
On Von Rohe's Day, 672 A.S., Daumann mining stations in Dresden were seized and locked down by miners in a widespread general strike. Supplied by Bundschuh revolutionaries, the miners managed to hold out on the station for weeks before word finally got out to the rest of Rheinland. Three months later, sympathetic workers disable other Daumann facilities on Planet New Berlin, joining in the protests. With the industrial heart of the economy grinding to a halt, riots beginning to pop up all across Rheinland, the government is finally forced to give in.And Daumann was forced to improve working conditions on lezipag
Current Day
Currently DHC maintains the slumping Dresden mining operations while rapidly expanding into the Omega regions. The Company the safer and more inner operations of the Munich system to pay for the base line costs of developing further into the Omega systems.
Omega 7 is currently home to Daumann Heavy Construction's newest asset Briesen mining and processing facility at the edge of Rheinland territory. Using this base as a jumping off point Daumann employees will be aimed toward expanding known fields and moving into uncharted territory as they continue to develop Rheinland resources for the good of the people, no matter the cost.

DHC - Banshee:
As a steed is bred for its strength as well as its grace, this majestic fighter carries on the long and distinguished tradition of Rheinland military craft. The Banshee is simply the finest ship of its kind. Its craftsmanship, its unwavering precision and reliability, and its substantial offerings for an accessible price all demonstrate Rheinland's commitment to excellence.
[color=#66FF99]DHC - Phantom:
Rheinland ships are generally known for their power and reliability, more so than their agility. However, of late the newer versions of the Banshee and Valkyrie have been adding more of that power and reliability to their engines. Both ships are using better, lighter metals that are stronger then others, so the naval ship builders can get away with putting less thickness onto the frames.
The Phantom in particular is an exception to the Rheinland rule about agility. The ship is relatively lightly armed and armored, but its agility matches that of any light fighter on the market. Anyone expecting the "slow but steady" typical Rheinlanders is going to get a rather nasty shock.
Primarily used for police work and interception, the Phantom is a staple of the Military Police units in Rheinland, and deservedly so.
DHC - Tiger Shark:
The Tiger Shark is a unique vessel with its foundations in the bygone days of Rheinland's commercial might, designed as it was to serve the desires of the young, the rich and the reckless as a sporty racing vehicle. Those Sharks seeing modern production are engaged in more militaristic ventures, from escorting Republic convoys to serving as enforcement vehicles for off duty members of the Rheinland Military or Police looking to bring in bounty money by hunting down pirates and dissidents. While considered expensive to some, the Tiger Shark is a solid workhorse vessel capable of delivering plenty of punch to folks wishing to ruin a good day.
DHC - Valkyrie:
The might that flows through the arms of the Chancellor is epitomized in the god-like attributes of this fighter class. The Valkyre is the divine union of precise machination and pure, ever-glowing might; and, therefore, is most recognized as the righteous hammer of justice for the Rheinland peacekeeping forces.
DHC - Wraith:
Determined to keep ahead in the arms race between lawfuls and unlawfuls, Rheinland was forced to upgrade its already potent ships. As with the Phantom, the Wraith utilizes several new technologies into the base frame. Improved engines and power-plant, along with lighter and stronger armor make the Wraith surprisingly agile. It's no light fighter, but a skilled pilot can keep it out of enemy fire enough to ensure victory.
This vessel is highly restricted, much like its lighter brother. Only elite Military Police units are allowed this expensive craft, along with authorized military personnel.
DHC - Mjolnir:
The Rheinland Federal Police needed a ship capable of dealing punishment to smugglers and pirates alike, and Oder Shipyard delivered. Packing a huge power core, superior shielding and armor, and weapons hardpoints to spare, the Mjolnir is designed to give the Police the heavy hand they need to deal with well-armed unlawfuls. It is the difference between a SWAT team, and a lone cop on the beat. Never intended to be capable of lasting in massed fleet engagements, but rather the ship is built to last until help arrives.
DHC - Bergelmir:
The original N01 Rheinland Bomber was crafted as an almost reflexive move on the part of the Rheinland military to the disasterous losses of their assumingly immortal capital ship fleet at the hands of the GMG during the 80 year war. Pressed with the task of constructing a vessel capable of slipping past blockades to strike at vital supply depots and stations seemingly beyond the reach of the Chancellor's flag fleet. These early bombers were little more than cumbersome energy plants wrapped in armor, built in haste from the scavenged remains of gunboats taken from assembly lines.
The modern "Snubnose" Rheinland bomber bears little resemblance to its predecessor. Ultra compact, sleek and possessing the height of Rheinland's renowned reactor technologies, the N58 is a testament to lessons learned and the murderous efficiency of the Chancellor's Military.
DHC - Fafnir:
The blow struck against Rheinland following the events of the war of 800 A.S. placed a heavy burden on Rheinland's already struggling economy and military might. With her dearly bought fleets reduced to the broken testament to a curious period in humanity's history it seemed as though little could be gained save a lesson.
One which Rheinland took to heart.
The Fafnir bomber, brought into the field on the immediate brink of a long forseen war is the result of nearly twenty years of studious labor on how to best break the back of a foe's capital fleet... and restore Rheinland's military glory on the field of battle.
DHC - Humpback:
With a cavernous space at its core, the Humpback has a monstrously huge appetite for cargo which it mightily secures with its unyielding armor shielding and devastating weapon potential. Being credited as key in the modernization and economic success of Rheinland, it remains a greatly prized vessel.
DHC - Ragnar:
"Ragnar" follows same basic design of Rheinland's transport ships. However, increased power core capabilities, advanced hull plating and powerful weapons array make this vessel unique among transports. Although its main purpose is transporting classified or precious cargo, lately police utilizes several of these ships in effort to cut of smuggler routes.
DHC - Behemoth:
Following the end of the 80 year war in 669 A.S the Rheinland economy was in shambles. Government bailouts saw Stuttgart opened for plundering at the hands of Synth foods and unemployed miners and dissident citizenry caused crime to skyrocket planetside and space alike. These conditions coupled with the low moral of a poorly paid police and military force allowed for space faring piracy to skyrocket overnight.
Boasting a defensive capabilities and a hull that pushes the boundaries of even heavy Rheinlandish manufacturing philosophy to extremes, the Behemoth is in every way a vessel designed to restore Rheinland's commercial might regardless of what obstacle she must bulldoze along the way.
DHC - Colossus:
A beast of a ship designed to laugh off the concerns of traversing the burning asteroid fields of Dresden and the Omegas, the Colossus is equipped with special armor plating and enormous cockpit shields that grant it the ability to plow through whatever obstacles are foolish enough to loom before it, natural or otherwise.
More than one such vessel has come into berth with fresh detritus of pulverized asteroids melded into her frame... Or a would be pirate not quick enough to get out of the way while issuing vain demands.
DHC - Rheinland Gunboat:
This ship is used largely as a tactical support unit, however due to its speed it can also be used as a deep incursion craft for contact teams or recon.
DHC - Rheinland Cruiser:
This ship class has been produced in large numbers by the Rheinland military and serves as the veritable backbone of the Chancellor's fleet.
DHC - Rheinland Battleship:
Chief among vessels in the Chancellor's fleet, this class of ship is the tactical "checkmate move" in the operations of the Rheinland military.

[color=#CCCCCC]OCULUS co. was founded in 818A.S. by CEO Roy Heliox. The company started out as a simple technology firm that quickly expanded into a leading company in technology. Over the course of several months the company grew to exponential heights in the stock market thanks to a new device that had come straight out of the OCULUS Technology Department, a breakthrough technology in media feeds. The Media Division was soon created afterwards, and has since then grown to over 500,000 channels Sirius Wide, including the famous OCULUS Sirius News Station. The company seems to have outsourced a majority of its jobs to company created androids over the years, and few humans are seen that are not stuck behind desks. With the thousands of media stations the company has, it racks in millions of dollars a day. Roy Heliox, the company's CEO, is a complete mystery. No history has yet to be found on this multi-billionaire, but rumors have spread all over Sirius that he is some crazy mad man, a robot, big foot, and even a nomad. Most rumors are easily dismissed with a simple laugh, but the question still remains on who Roy Heliox is, and what direction he has intended for his company.
OCULUS co. continues today to dwell into the exploration of new technologies, and release break through to the public, earning them vasts amount of credits. Rumor has it, their research is not always "legal" and that there many network stations are used to cover up what their doing. Nevertheless, the company has a dark side underneath all its televised glory, and Roy Heliox has been called one of Sirius's largest network whales of his time.
A more detailed History can be found {Still to come} Including a prologue and events leading up to recent history. This knowledge is of course all provided OORP, because it is very highly guarded within RP.

[color=#CCCCCC]Within OCULUS co., exists two different major divisions, followed by a vast assortment of others. One being the Media division, which is in charge of the Sirius News, and several other networks. The technology department on the other hand is a much older division that has been around since the company originated. The tech department is often used by Roy as a way to conduct his research in private. Both departments are considered a front for Roy's true intentions. Roy uses the company to fund his research, and keep his identity secret. His massive revenues are often secretly funding outside interests, and his own plans. His company is very much a monopoly in the media industry, and he is now seeking out to not only controll all media interests, but monopolize the entire galactic market.
But, what few know is Roy's true identity, and he goes to great lengths to keep it a secret. He often uses his media division to influence actions within certain areas, and spark conflicts that are in the best interest of his company. Rumors have been circulating that he has his own twisted army, referred to as the Shattered. Once human, they were manipulated by Roy and experimented on within his labs. They were transformed into twisted metal beings that serve his purposes in secret, gathering stray citizens for his experiments. The more lethal ones, are referred to as Purifiers. Their goal is simple, to serve the purposes of Roy, and if there is a problem standing in the way of the company that problem has been known to disappear, never to be heard from again. What Roys overall goal is, is not yet clear. But, with his vast knowledge in robotic, and drone technology, nothing good can come of it. The truth behind OCULUS is a mystery, and a very well guarded one.

[color=#CCCCCC]As part of the cover front, the OCULUS news stations will often report on key issues to take the public eye off their own corporation. They report on anything news worthy, often adding in their own political views. A unknown code has been found within the broadcast, no one yet knows what it is, but the corporate conspiracy theorists believe it is some form of subliminal brain washing frequency. The truth is.. that it is probably not to far from the truth.

Rank Structure ~
[color=#33CCFF]CEO - [color=#FFFFFF] Roy Heliox ~ A machine that achieved sentience long ago, he hides and passes off as human. He leads the OCULUS corporation, and while his goals are unclear, he uses his power to push his own goals, and secretly plots to monopolize the galactic market in order to assert his own obsession of power. Story has it amongst his secret metal monstrocities that he was built by the harvesters to exist among the humans, learn, and plot their downfall, but after the fall of the harvesters, he began following his own protocol. ( see {Soon to come} )
Corporate
Board Members - Financial geniuses, and board trustees, all puppets of Roy who has promised them riches beyond their dreams.
Corporate Intel Services - Former intelligence officers, they gather Intel on the competition and conduct espionage, allowing Roy to keep tabs on other Corporations. Like the board members, Roy uses them to his advantage, promising them riches beyond their dreams and making those that dare doubt, or turn against him, vanish forever. The division is mixed with humans and corporate bots, though it is likely you could tell the difference, as every Intel branch employee is highly fitted with company electronics. Perhaps it may even alter their behavior...
OCULUS Drones - Collect media, are considered to be links into the companies infrastructure and offices.
These were among Roy's first experimentations with drone technology. Rumor has it some of them were the results of experiments in transferring a human beings mind into robotic vessels to follow his will. The first batch were considered to be uncontrollable and were attempted to be eradicated. Few have survived and managed to hide themselves among the Drone vessels in secret.
Underground of OCULUS
Shattered - Roy's secret army that carries out his plans.
Purifiers - Roy's commissioned army, built out of twisted metal, and the minds of human beings. They carry out secret operations for him, often terroristic in nature.
Zealots -among the oldest in Roy's secret garrison. They were among the very first to ever undergo the process of transformation. There is no traces of humanity left in these twisted droids. Roy's will is swiftly carried out.
