Ronin

When the new Kusari government withdrew their combat forces from the Taus, a significant force was trapped behind the Gallic lines. As their desperation grew, the Kusari remnants looked for a leader. The former Kusari Emperor, who had been trapped in Bretonia at the beginning of the Gallic war stepped to the front and took command of the KNF forces trapped in Bretonia.

I will give you example- Bulgaria in the second word war-
Hitler positioned 44 Tank Divisions on the Donau River and asked us "politely" to join him.
Bulgarian leaders were against but they had no other choose then to support him formally- they joined but didn't send troops to any fronts and didn't allowed Hitler to harm any Jews from Bulgaria. A few years after that when the Russian Army approached Balkans Bulgaria changed sides and fought the Germans with full military force even after Sofia was literally devastated by allies bomber attacks while bulgarian military pilots shoot the same allies bombers in the air near Sofia...
So as in history politicians sometimes need to ignore their feelings and do the right thing- common sense says that if Brets are in bad position they would take any help possible. Story line says the same- I cannot see where is the problem really, it is clear that if Ronin do stupid stuff Brets will cut them since Ronin is smaller and will need to act in self preservation too.
About this:

Under the Emperor'€™s command, these forces, now referring to themselves as the Ronin, are small in numbers, comprising some 5 battleships, 10 Destroyers and 25 Gunboats and a handful of fighter and bomber wings. While they don't pose a serious threat to Gallic forces in Tau-31, they have a potential to become an important part of Bretonia's defence during the forthcoming war.

I do think that Ronin ID should not include cruisers and that the official faction should hold the said 5 BSs and 10 Battlecruisers/Destroyers. This will be better fitting in server reality because I do expect a lot of Dessie capspam- even nerfed Ku desie armed only with Motar and Pulse still can eat all GRN BSs.

Sorry to go off topic, but If Bulgaria was fighting for the russians, why were its planes shooting the allies planes?

Because FIRST bulgarians were on the German side- in this time they shoot each other, then shoot the Germans together. Kinda the same here. Read my whole post again.

That argument have nothing to do with the thread. Also you misunderstood since the Russians attacked Bulgaria after it decided to join the Germans, once the Russians were nearby it switched side and join the Russians who previously attacked Bulgaria since it officially was on the German side in the war.

Let me put it in "Discovery terms"

Lets say Gallia conquer Leeds and force Bretonia to be on it's side and then moves on to Liberty. Later Liberty push off the Gallics and when they get close to Leeds Bretonia join Liberty to fight off Gallia. Got it?

P.S No more talking about WW2 in this thread, this is completely irrelevant. If you have more questions that are related to creation, requests etc etc do it. (Govedo I didn't mean you with your example of WW2, that was relevant rather the discussion afterwards).
