hi )

I was shocked to find out that the entire Lane Hacker line, minus the Hacker Gunship went to the open market as Borderworlds ships. It took several days to actually convince myself to believe that this happened, I checked infocards, asked around, me and a Hellfire Legionnaire buddy of mine even got yelled at in-game for being at fault for this event happening.

As a consequence of this cataclysm, I decided to try out the new Bayonet (it has also been suggested that it got nerfed quite efficiently), but I was disappointed to find out that it's still sold only on the Lane Hacker's current main base, which is under Lane Hacker Guard registry.

So my proposal is, if the former Hacker line is BW and open use already, why not make the sell points BW and open use as well? You could put some sell points to Yanagi, Freeport 1 and Freeport 4 perhaps.... or uhm... anywhere where it doesn't require obtaining actual Lane Hacker Guard rep, and mess with my rep to other factions with that process, to fly an open use ship.

It would be nice to see some diversity among generic unlawful factions as well, who are otherwise out of reach from the Lane Hacker main base or their Guard rep )

I agree with you, little point in making them (almost) open use if the ships are still sold on restricted bases.
I think it was just an oversight though.

Wait what?

The Bayonet is still a Lane Hackers ship. The Border Worlds HF is the Switchblade...

No, the Bayonet is marked as Border Worlds too.

The Bayonet is now classed as Border Worlds, too.

Edit: Ninjas. Everywhere.

There was a sig here, once.

Ye, although the wiki needs a little updating, the infocard on all former Lane Hacker snubcrafts (Bayo, Broadsword, Fachion) says it's Border Worlds.

Since I don't currently own any of them in-game, due to this possible selling point oversight, the closest evidence I can show to you is a picture taken in FLStat. This about summarizes all the problems I currently face as well: http://i1224.photobucket.com/albums/ee365/...ovok/flstat.png

I also find that interesting. Not that such financial decisions are my table, but I find it a bit strange that I didn't hear that before. Where did you got that info? You linked an infocard that states it has Borderwords tech blended into these ships, for me that doesn't mean it's open use. Thou I even heard before that with the new ID-energy system, all tech is open use (what has been said to be a mistake).

Thou if it's really on the open market, I approve the decision of it being sold only on our bases. At least it would take effort from cannibals and such savages to get their filthy hands on those.

EDIT: You mention Lane Hacker guard ID and IFF, what doesn't exist anymore. So no offense, but I will assume you are just as wrong in the rest of your post until proven otherwise.

I'm a wee bit annoyed as I spent quite a bit of cash getting my Bayobayobayo with tech permissions..

However... Who's to know these things that happen in the future?

Point me to the part where I said Lane Hacker guard ID or IFF, until you prove I did, I'll just assume you didn't read anything I said. I was talking about the Lane Hacker Guard reputation, which exists: http://i1224.photobucket.com/albums/ee365/...Sovok/guard.png

I even time stamped the picture, so you won't even accidentally say I took it from an older version or something. Airdrie hideout in-game also says Lane Hacker Guard as its owner.

I also took the liberty of taking pictures of the Bayonet and the Broadsword in-game, their infocard to be specific.

http://i1224.photobucket.com/albums/ee365/...k/infocards.png

As you can clearly see, underlined it mentions that the ships are "Border Worlds", just like the Sabre, or other civilian vessels marked as "Border Worlds."

If you check the wiki, (still to be edited), it still says Lane Hacker.

http://i1224.photobucket.com/albums/ee365/...rSovok/wiki.png

Now, the wiki doesn't reflect the changes in-game yet, but since it used to say Lane Hacker, which it doesn't say anymore in-game, it means that the ownership of these vessels changed at some point in the development of 4.86.

The Lane Hacker gunship, on the other hand, is still labeled as a Lane Hacker vessel, do your own research if you don't believe me, the same applies to any other pirate faction with their respective signature vessels, the Arbeiter is not a Border Worlds vessel, neither is the Odin, the Blossom, the Katana, and so on.

Only the former Lane Hacker vessels seem to be re-labeled as Border Worlds in their names, which is a new occurrence in the mod's development. I can't think of any other explanation, but them going to the open market to be available, just like the Sabre or the BWT. The sell points do not reflect that, but I somehow doubt that these changes have been accidental. I was asking for the relocation of the sell points, since Airdrie hideout, where these vessels are available requires Lane Hacker Guard reputation in good standing. That might mess with the reps of people if they want the vessels for civilian / lawful uses.

I'm also looking to find out a resolution to this issue, since if the former Hacker vessels have become open use iRP, the House laws have to be amended accordingly.

My apologies. This is indeed strange. Maybe someone decided to make some extra profit while I wasn't looking. I'll ask some better informed people about how could that happen and what can be done about it before the work of our best engineers ends on some freeports or worse.
